Author's note: Hi everyone, here's one of the new stories I mentioned. It's, in a way, kind of like MercilessRuby's new story, but it's different. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this one, and I actually got the idea from MomoHitsugaya (the author).

Chapter 1: The Bet
Momo had just gotten home from a day of shopping, yet she was still rather bored. "I'm back mom. I'll be up in my room."
"Ok. Dinner will be ready in a few."
"Ok." She dragged herself upstairs and changed into something more comfortable. She then turned on her computer and signed onto her screen name. She noticed her friend, Rukia, was online.
Rukia and Momo had met when Momo and her family took a vacation in Florida. The two quickly became friends, but the two had to part after Momo's vacation ended. Of course, they exchanged their screen names and phone numbers before that. However, since it would be too costly to use the phone, they've only communicated over AIM.
'hey rukia, wats up?'
'nm, just really tired. Had to work all day.'
'at least u get 2 work w/ super cute animals. i'm bored beyond my life.'
'well if you came here you'd tired beyond ur life lol'
'whatever, ur always complaining. i would do anything to go their again.'
'trust me. No u wouldnt. Theres a new kid here and hes a major jerk. He thinks hes all that just cuz most of the girls are all over him.'
'well, id still wanna be there.'
'plz. U wouldn't last a week here.'
'Id last longer there than you could last here. And I wouldn't even complain.'
'wanna bet. This place suks.'
'as a matter of fact. Yes I do want to bet but my mom would never let me do that.'
'why don't you try asking her. I'd ask my mom if you ask yours.'
'fine, but the only times they agree with me is if trick them into it or if theres some kind of catch.'
"Momo, dinner's ready."
"Coming mom."
'Sry I g2g. I'll ask my mom and u ask yours.'
'k ttul'
She logged off and quickly went downstairs where, she was greeted by her mom and dad. "Hey dad."
He nodded and didn't respond for his mouth was full. "Oh yea, Momo. Ichigo came over today. He wanted to tell you that practice would be canceled tomorrow."
"Oh thanks. By the way, mom, I was just wondering. What are the odds that I could go to Florida again for summer."
"To Florida? …it's possible… if you get straight A's on your upcoming report card." She said knowing that was quite impossible. "Ok, so if I get straight A's can I go and stay for… oh, I don't know… half of summer?"
"Hal-"
"And could Rukia maybe come over? Kinda like a foreign exchange thing?"
"Whose Rukia." Her dad inquired, biting into a turkey leg.
"You know, that girl we met on our trip to Florida last time. She was so sweet and helpful too. I have no problems with her coming here, but half a month seems to long a time for you to be gone."
"But remember mom, this is only if I can get straight A's." She said, hoping they'd take the bait and agree. "… Fine. If you get straight A's, we'll let you go for a month, but you'll have to tell us where you're staying."
"Well, I'm going to ask Rukia to see if I could stay at her place."
"Ok, and also tell us when Rukia-chan will be coming."
After dinner, Momo excitedly went upstairs to send her an email to Rukia. She was sure she would be getting the straight A's and now all she needed was for Rukia's parents to say yes.
