Summary: "How exactly did we get ourselves locked out of your house?"
"How exactly did we get ourselves locked out of your house?" Bella wondered, her hand cupping her face as she looked up at the mansion that was the Cullen's home.
Edward, somewhat annoyed by the whole turn of events, shrugged.
They'd been dating for over six months now and they were going to stay at his place while his family was away on a trip. He didn't elaborate where and she didn't question it.
Between the two, they had their own secrets and they liked to keep it as such.
Edward went around back and the sound of something breaking. "Edward?" Bella came around back to find a shattered window, pieces of glass littering the ground at his feet. "What'd you do that for?"
He smirked, slipped a hand in the now empty frame and unlocked the door that sat beside it. Stepping back, he lifted her up into his arms and stepped over the broken glass.
She laughed when he attempted to wipe his feet on the rug that said "welcome".
"Was that necessary?"
"No. But then Esme will be mad enough that I broke the window. Imagine if I track dirt through her house." He gave a fake shudder and she laughed.
When they both were inside, Edward placed her down in the kitchen while he went to board up the window. Bella watched in wonder as he quickly placed it up and nailed it shut with barely a tap of a hammer. She noted not a single wound marred his hand which he'd used to punch through the window.
Strange.
Edward turned and queried about her obvious staring. "Find something you like?" He teased.
Her lips twitched. "Just a boy who breaks windows without bleeding."
Acknowledging the statement, Edward sighed. "We all have secrets, even bad ones."
