...boy did I stick my foot in it. Ahem.
Attention,
The following does not convey the opinions or feelings of the author...
The day was, well I cannot exactly remember, sometime in July. The work of months previous was paying off, with, well, more work. But this was different, this was a group of young christians banded together to help evangelize the youth of the world at a place I call Shiloh Bible Camp.
I do not remember everyone, but we were all friends, bonded through christianity and hard work, but none of us saw it as work, it was fun and rewarding and we would not trade it for anything. We were called Timothies and I was part of the "first years." Or so the older ones called the younger ones One person in particular I remember was a girl by the name of Desiree White (think I spelled it wrong). When I was a "first year" she was a second year, but that did not really matter, as with all the other youth we got along wonderfully and made everlasting was smart and worked hard, funny and talented, if you consider the ability to trip over a flat surface talent. She could play piano, Fur Elise being her old standby. Never complained and always laughed, did not say a whole lot but her actions were worth more than words. She comes into my story only because of another person I happened to meet when I myself was a second year.
In my second year their was an impetuous young lad, a "first year" named Devan Mitchell. He too was funny, but generally louder about it, outspoken athletic and funny he was a clown that fit right in with t our group. I have yet to meet someone who didn't like Devan, though I have not spoken to his siblings about it. Though he was funny and silly we had dreams to be in the military, an honourable goal. I have always been of the opinion that he has a good mind for understanding, he is curious to learn, especially about the bible.
Now what is the purpose of this you ask? Well now that I am approaching my third year and Devan is a second year and Desiree is a bona fide" fourth year" a interesting thing has happened. Interesting but not unexpected.
Desiree as become Devan's desire, and I cannot come up with a terrible pun for Devan's name...But these two have begun "going out," a perfect match really. He now cannot stop speaking of her, and he calls her constantly and counts the hours to the next time he can see her. I do not see Desiree much but I doubt she is much different.
Now all I can think of is how this will effect the summer's work...
((you know that you cannot let either of them read this yes? I did not
technically write about them the whole time tis true but hey, you are not easy
with your subjects, come on give me another, something easier, remember I write
medieval fiction, hint hint...
