*** Takes place in Dragon's Oath, right after Anastasia's message to Dragon through the locket***
Nyx was staring down at her grieving warrior, her heart was weeping for him. She had always loved Dragon and Anastasia together. It greatly angered her to that their separation was due to Kalona and his demon spawn. She knew that his pain was her fault. Had she not allowed Kalona to live centuries ago Anastasia would still be alive.
Nyx knew she had to fix this.
Nyx appeared before Dragon Lankford shining brightly in all her beauty. It saddened her that her warrior would not even acknowledge her presence.
"Look at me, Sword master" Nyx spoke gently.
Dragon kept his head towards the ground, not even showing any indication of her words. Instead of getting angry, Nyx simply smiled.
"Very well than. I suppose since you do not wish to hear from me, I will simply have to change my mind about returning your beloved to you." She said while turning away.
Dragon's head snapped up so fast that he nearly gave himself whiplash.
"Forgive me Goddess!" Dragon spoke quickly "It is difficult to cope with losing her"
"I understand, Warrior" She spoke while placing her hands on his shoulder. "It is because of me that you are hurting. I allowed Kalona to live after his betrayal, which in turn allowed him to create the very being that murdered your mate. However I shall remedy that. You my son, should not have to suffer for a mistake I made"
Dragon looked at the Goddess that he has trusted for nearly 200 years. Confused but somewhere deep inside he felt a small glimmer of hope begin to bloom. "How Goddess?" He spoke attempting to keep his voice as calm and even as possible. Trying to not give an indication of how he was feeling.
"I will return her to you; however, it will not be that simple. Nothing ever is. She will be much younger than she was. Only 20 years of ago and will still be a fledgling. She will also have no memory of you or your 177 years together. Her memories will be buried deep inside. It is up you to figure out how to unlock them. Once her memories are back she will returned as she was. Her tattoos will reappear as will all over her memories. She will also return to the age she was when she was killed." The Goddess spoke softly. Looking deep into Dragon's eyes. "Let us see if your love can be as timeless as you believe"
"When will she be back, Goddess?" He spoke; hope bringing light back into his eyes for the first time since Anastasia was killed.
The Goddess simply looked at him and laughed. "If I told you, it would ruin all the fun" With that the Goddess gave him one last smile and disappeared.
