Scott wasn't sure when it happened. When the feel of Allison's body wasn't interesting him anymore. When her scent, or the way she kissed him, stopped exciting him. All he knew was that he still loved her, but the passion was no longer there.

Because lately, Scott's wolf was becoming restless. It had started pushing to the surface more often, trying to claw itself out. And the reason for all this was Isaac Lahey. Somehow the younger beta had managed to get under Scott's skin. With his curls and kicked-puppy eyes, there was little Scott could do to resist.

Scott remembered the first time he and Isaac had ever had a serious conversation. It had been a random Saturday night. Isaac was at the McCall household, he often went there when Derek became too much to handle. Sitting in silence with Scott should have been completely awkward, but it was surprisingly calming. That is until Isaac saw a picture of a kid Scott with a man he'd never seen before.

"Who's that?" he question.

Scott looked up, surprised about the fact that Isaac disrupted the silence, after glancing at the picture he replied, "My dad."

Isaac lapsed back into silence, not wanting to push Scott into telling him anything. They again continued to sit in silence until, "I was five when he left."

Isaac jumped, not really expecting Scott to say anything. He continued staying quiet, waiting for Scott to continue.

"I don't remember much from when he left. All I remember was the he and my mom got into a huge argument. Then he slapped her. Afterwards my mom came into my room, telling me that my dad was gone. I haven't heard from him since," Scott murmured.

He didn't really know why he poured out his life story to Isaac; all he knew was that Isaac made him comfortable. Next thing he knew, he had an arm around his shoulders. Looking up, he saw Isaac gazing down at him with an unreadable expression. Scott sighed, tired of overthinking constantly, and relaxed into Isaac's arms.

Scott knew that was the day everything changed. The feeling of Isaac's arms around him, shouldn't have felt as comfortable as they did. He shouldn't have been craving the younger betas company over his own girlfriend, but he did. Not knowing what was going on drove him to ask Derek.

The alpha was born into a werewolf family; he had to have the answers. And have the answers he did. "He's your mate Scott. Your other half. He has known all along, but he refuses to act, thinking you're happy with the Argent girl."

That one word floated around his brain, "Mate". Scott wasn't as freaked out as he should have been. Instead a happy calm seemed to flow over him. Isaac was his mate. His wolf howled in pleasure of finally having its master accept that. Now all it wanted to do was find their mate and claim them. Roll around, curl up, and nuzzle with them. It had been deprived so long; it refused to wait any longer. With that knowledge at hand, Scott set out to find his mate and claim what is going to be his soul mate forever.
