Ash pov
Me and Gwen decided to look in a old abandon house. I ran up on all fours up the stairs and sniffed the door. Gwen opened the door it made a loud creak my animal ears pricked with concern. I whimpered something in there made my animal instincts cower. Plus it was my job to protect Gwen with my life no matter what the cost. We walked in the furniture was covered with white sheets. Each step we took made the wood squeak. Cobwebs were everywhere suddenly I picked up a sound like claws running on wood. I made a low growl with my sharp fangs showing. Gwen put her hand on my head to try to calm me down. My tail flicked angrily back and forth I hissed. My eyes glowed bright green, night vision. Scanning the area claws and fangs out and sharp, and ears pricked I was ready. Then I saw it a red eye then another one, another, another 8 red eyes. Gwen was getting concerned she never saw me like this. My tail between my legs and my ears laid back. I backed up slowly whimpering. Stay calm I thought since Gwen never saw me like this then she might freak out. Gwen didn't know what was causing me to act strange since the creature was black in a dark area my animal eyes were more superior then hers. The creature was getting closer my ears rose with alarm it might attack Gwen. I had to protect Gwen she saved me once and since then I made sure to protect Gwen it's an animal's honor. I tackled Gwen in the side to get her out of the way. The giant creature then tackled me. Gwen landed on a chair dust flew. Gwen and I then realized the creature was a giant spider. Its giant long leg was on my stomach pinning me down. Its 5ft long fangs dripping with poison. I opened my mouth I felt my mouth getting hotter and hotter then flames shot out hitting the spider in its face. It backed up I got up wings came out of my back. I looked at Gwen "Get out of here!" I barked. The spider charged I lay low waiting for the right moment. Now I dove under the spider with my sharp claws digging into its abdomen. The spider fell dead. I looked at Gwen "When I tell you to run, run don't worry about me." I mewed. Gwen backed up I turned around tons of spiders, half the size of the big one, came out. "Gwen run!" I barked. Gwen ran one of the spiders tackled me then the rest came like a pack of wolves. They bit me I started to feel weak. Electricity surrounded my body shocking them all. I collapsed all the spiders were dead but I was also dying from all the poison. But Gwen was safe and that's all that mattered. I went limp and closed my eyes never to open them again.
