You sit on your front porch. The clock at your side reads 11:57 PM. 'Only a few more minutes until 2014…' you think longingly… Hopefully you would maybe find someone, for it was one of your resolutions. But like all the others, this one probably wouldn't come true. That was, until you hear a voice accompanying on the porch.
"Hey doll, vwhat's going on?" Oh, it was Cronus… The two of you were friends, even though he constantly made attempts on becoming much more. And to add to that, you could have sworn that you were getting red feelings for him as well…
"Oh nothing much Cronus, just counting down the minutes to the new year…" you reply shoving your hands deeper into your pockets to prevent the cold from getting to them. You hear footsteps, and you figure that he moved closer. "You can stay out here with me if you like, I could use the company…" you say. Immediately you heard excitement in his intake of breath.
"VWell if you say so _..." The sea-dweller smirked and wrapped his hands around your waist, pulling you into a sort of awkward backwards hug. You stayed like that for a while, him inhaling the scent of your hair and you glancing out at the stars. It was actually quite… romantic.
The clock next to you rings, as you had set the alarm earlier. It was finally 2014. "Hey Cronus! Happy New Year!" you say happily as you spin out of his warm embrace, now facing him. He stares into your eyes for a few moments… then leans forward. Your lips meet, just in time to experience your first kiss. You pull apart slowly, blushing like crazy red and violet alike.
"C-Cronus…" You stutter. Did he know that you had red feelings for him?!
"C'mon babe, you knew that it vwas really obwvious right?" He grinned before hugging you tight. You inhale deeply and inhale the scent of the sea. It was your favorite right now.
"Yeah… I guess…" you mumble into his chest.
"And yes, I vwould lowve to be your matesprite _..." he states.
The rest of the night continued on, and you finally kept one of your New Year's resolutions, in the comfort of Cronus' arms
