Claire tries to remember what was the last image that flashed in her mind whenever she used to die, but she can't.
She just knows that now when her body plummets against the earth she sees him.
He stands calm and prepared, pulling his dark bangs back with his fingertips.
And then she's alone, awakening to reattach her bone sockets into place like a child in the barren snow realizing her blanket had been snatched from her.
Sometimes she slashes her throat just to see...His big brown eyes filled with compassion.
They say you see your whole life pass before your eyes before you die.
He smiles sheepishly at her.
