CHAPTER ONE
"Cato" Clove screamed. Cato, who was miles away, felt his heart race. He was too far to help Clove. "No!" he said, scolding himself for thinking like that. He ran pumped with new speed to get to her, only to see her fall to the ground and Thresh running away. "Clove" Cato whispered rushing to her side. Then he saw the state of Clove and screamed, "I'll get you for this Thresh, I swear on my life!"
Cato tenderly picked Clove up and carried her to the safety of the forest before lying her down. "Clove I'm so sorry, it was my job to protect you and I failed" Cato said with tears in his eyes. Clove just smiled gingerly and put a shaking finger to his lips to hush him.
Moments passed with Cato's arms wrapped around Clove, both of them wishing they could freeze time. "Clove don't leave me…" Cato finally whispered into Clove's ear. "Win for me, wont you" Clove managed to say. Cato nodded. Clove's eyes closed and Cato felt his heart stop but then for one more second her eyes flickered open. "Cato…i love you" she mouthed and then her eyes closed once again, but this time forever.
