Decided-A One Shot
Ginny stood, staring at the destruction. Harry had won, but what a price? Her brother had died first, protecting Hermione from a spell. Next Hermione, Harry had to go on. Then, in finale, Harry had defeated Voldemort by sacrificing himself. Now, as always, Ginny was left alone. Hogwarts had crumbled, even Dumbledore had died fighting. She wondered if anyone had survived the blast that had detonated when Voldemort died. A single tear ran down her cheek.
And then it hit her. The fact that she had no one to cry on anymore. Not one person…Except him. The one who had kept her from Harry, while Harry had kept her from him. If only they had been friends. But even he might not have survived. Ginny herself had only survived because Harry had hidden her away in a place where she could watch, even fight, but not get hurt.
Something caught her eye. Something moving, something alive. Ginny ran through the bodies, bodies of both Order members and Death Eaters alike. There, only a few feet away, Draco stood. He was wounded, but he was alive.
"Well, my little black rose, it looks like your decision has been made for you." Even in his pain, he had a sarcastic side.
But something was wrong. Draco's hair was no longer the smooth, silvery, shining blond it had been, but brown. He had one emerald green eye and one sapphire blue eye. And there, on his forehead, was the trace of a lightning bolt scar.
Ginny started to back away. What was this? A combination of Draco and Harry, the two men she loved? Was this a specter, a ghost, a spirit, a poltergeist?
"Gin, it's okay. When Harry died, his soul fought so hard to come back that he was granted life. I'm now part Harry, part Draco."
"If that's true, then which one of you did I call Prince Charming?" Ginny asked. It was the only question that she knew both of them would get wrong unless they were in communication.
Draco-Harry stood, deep in thought. "Both of us."
"It is…" Right then and there, Ginny kissed both the men she loved. For the first time in her life, she was truly happy.
