I know its short but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I just had to write it down. Enjoy! Also i do not own bleach sadly.
A name was important.
A name meant you were somebody and that you had a purpose. People here they all had names from the start, they didn't understand the importance. They had a name and they took it for granted. Their parents gave them that name, their parents cared for them.
He was just a boy, big enough to know he didn't have any parents and that he would probably die in this ruined district 80, but small enough that he didn't remember things before then. He was born here and spent his entire life here as far as he was concerned. Who took care of him till then wasn't something he cared to know. All that mattered was that at the moment he was alive. He had to try to stay alive.
He made it through for decades watching how slowly everyone aged and hearing all the names. By the time he was a young teen he learned they called him names too, the demon of Zaraki or just Demon. It wasn't a name but it was something.
He lived up to it, without a doubt. He'd tear through his opponents like they were soggy paper with his sword. Funny even his sword was nameless. He was nameless, his sword was nameless, and he had to wonder was his existence pointless? Did someone think his suffering was funny? Dying. He was dying on the inside and he wished occasionally that he would die on the outside too. He would have to deal with the hurt.
But that was all in the past, now he had a name. Zaraki Kenpachi. Unfortunately that name also came with a kid. He loves her though. She's his kid, his baby girl and his life. Even with a name, he realizes he would still have been alone but he's not. Maybe that was what he was missing, a friend and companion to talk to and care for; the name was just a bonus.
His name was Zaraki Kenpachi. His name was Taicho. His name was Ken-Chan. His name was Demon. Each and every one of those held something significant, a piece of him, and it was all in a name.
I hope you all liked it and I hope you review!
