So… uh… hehe… I got the idea to do this from leoslady4ever… I don't mean to copy, sorry if bits seem similar.
The Undeniable Truth
I can't believe it… he's gone… gone from my life… gone forever…
All the things we'd shared… all the secrets… all the laughs… all the nights spent together…
She wandered through the empty house, surprised at how big the rooms seemed, how quiet it was, and how her heart ached to be filled with that little part he had taken with him.
Entering the bedroom, her heart tightened painfully, how much time they spent in here, not just spending the night in passion, but just loving one another. How many nights they lay awake talking, snuggled into his tight embrace, curled up at his side knowing she was safe.
For the first time in my life, I felt true happiness with a man, I felt safe, like I was on top of the world, I felt… pure, beautiful, smart, and funny, like I was the only girl for him.
Her fingers brushed against the black sheets, and then climbed onto it, pulling one of the grey pillows to her chest and burying her face into it, breathing in the lingering sent deeply.
It's all I had left of him… the final reminders. The pictures where too hard to look at, they were all taken down, even the photo albums packed into boxes… one day… one day I would go through and look at them all, relish in the memories that are held in the little pictures.
Relive the days over and over… when it no longer hurt to just think his name.
Despite better judgement, his face flashed behind her closed lids. That perfect face… those deep, mesmerising eyes… the sharply sculpted jaw… that arrogant smirk that she fell in love with.
She screamed as the images played like a movie in her mind, the times they spent together, all the happy memories… then the final goodbye. She couldn't rid herself of them, no matter how much she tried, no matter how many pills she took, or how many times she tried to move on… nothing worked. They just kept coming back and more violent than ever, as if taunting her with the false happiness.
She wanted him back… needed him back, she couldn't take this anymore, hiding behind a fake mask of happiness, no one was buying it, everyone could see she was now just an empty shell… functioning on auto-pilot… she was dead without him by her side.
She pressed her face into the pillow, in attempt to mute the horrific screams spilling past her lips. Her tears sainted the fabric leaving darker spots littering it like rain.
As she opened her eyes, she thought she saw him standing at the end of the bed she once shared with him; he had a look of hurt and pain clouding his features, he stood ridged, muscles tight under his skin as his arms crossed over his chest.
She lurched upright, but with the motion, he vanished from sighed.
"No…" she breathed, and reached out a hand for him, but he was gone… it was the undeniable truth…
