She stood by her mother's grave, reading the words marked into the gravestone over and over again.

Her hands were inher pocket, and she smiled at memories of her and her mother.
Before she left, she took off a hidden necklace, and placed it over the flowers. It had some chinese symbol on it, Hinata's greatest possesion.
She went to the Yamanaka Flower Shop, and bought a pair of yellow roses. She handed the clerk the money, then hurried off to the grave. She placed her mother's favorite flowers in front of the gravestone, and picked up her necklace and put it back on.
She slowly began to walk away, into the calming forest. She watched as a few small creatures scurried about, picking up nuts, bugs and nutshells. She heard footsteps coming closer. She did not bother to turn her head to see who it was, she was too focused on memories of her mother.
She heard a familiar voice.
"Hey, Hinata!" Haruno Sakura chimed.
Hinata smiled.
"Hello, Sakura," she said, turning around to see Sakura.
"How ya doin'?" Sakura asked, walking up to Sakura.
"Fine, you?" Hinata replied.
"Doin' great!" she said, smiling.
"You alright?" Sakura asked, noticing Hinata's sad expression.
"Um...yes...I guess so," Hinata said.
"Com'on, tell me," Sakura said.
"Well...my mother died of cancer a few weeks ago..and I-I really miss her..." Hinata said, fighting back the tears.
"Oh," Sakura said, sadness entering her tone.
"I-I'm so sorry, Hinata," Sakura said, trying to comfort her.
No reply, Hinata was too busy fighting back tears.
"I've...got to go..I'm sorry!" Hinata said, running off and crying.
"Hinata?" a familiar voice chimed. It was Naruto, her crush.
"Hm?" Hinata answered, leaning against a tree.
"Wanna go on a walk with me for a few hours?" he asked, smiling.
"Sure, Naruto!" Hinata exclaimed, suprised.
"Let's go, then!" he said, smiling. He began walking with her, both talking.
Close to the middle of the walk, Naruto holds Hinata's hand.
Hinata blushed madly, but hid it.
Naruto smiled, and saw the lake.
"Hey, let's take a break here," he said, leading her over to his favorite spot.
"Alright," she said, looking into the crystal-colored water.
"Isn't it beautiful?" he asked, but secretly meaning Hinata was beautiful.
"Oh yes," Hinata said, enjoying the view.
"No, I meant you," he said.
Hinata blushed wildly, but could not hide it.
"T-Thank you, Naruto," she said, smiling and looking into his blue eyes.
"You're welcome, Hinata," he said, bringing her much closer to him and hugging her. Hinata hugged him back, enjoying this rare moment.
They began to continue walking, holding each other's hand.
"How's Sasuke and Sakura?" Hinata asked, deiciding to bring up a good subject.
"Fine, how 'bout your team mates?" Naruto spoke.
"They're doing great," Hinata said, smiling brightly.
"Uum..Naruto?" Hinata asked, her courage growing.
"Yes, Hinata?"
"Um...I-I..." she was interupted.
"-I love you too," Naruto finished the sentence, and stood in front of her, placing his two main fingers on her chin, and pressing his lips against hers.
Hinata was quite suprised at first, but settled and closed eyes.
They began kissing harder, and Naruto wrapped his arm around her waist, bringing her much closer to his chest.
A few minutes later, Naruto slowly pulled away, and hugged her tight.
Hinata gladly hugged him back.
"Thank you, Naruto-kun," she said, smiling.
"No problem, Hinata," he said, and they began walking again.
