This is a poem about Draco Malfoy and how he felt when he had to kill Dumbledore.

The Snake

He feels like he is being pulled to both sides,

Which to choose, family or the love of his life,

The ones who raised him or the one in whim he confides,

He is standing at the edge of a knife.

But, what the Lord wants, the Lord gets,

He feels that he has had enough of the Lord's threats.

If he doesn't kill the Headmaster,

He lives, his love lives, but his family dies,

If he gets the job done faster,

His Mudblood will hate him, no matter what he tries.

He wants to a kid once more,

Once again meeting Hermione in that muggle store,

But he has a task, to kill Dumbledore,

Just the idea makes him shiver to the core.

He talks to his love,

He tries to make her understand,

But instead she cries, and looks like an angel from above,

And states clearly that on the light side she will stand.

She asks him to join the order,

Tells him that it will all get better,

He hesitates, but inside he becomes stronger,

He will be a spy, he'd do anything for her.

They are so happy, thinking they have a long life together,

But, unfortunately, the Fates have something else planned,

His aunt tortures her in the Malfoy Manor,

She now has 'Mudblood' cut into her hand.

The war is over,

They are both alive,

But their losses make them suffer,

They love each other and to live together they strive.
