Chapter 1

Lily Luna closed her eyes and ran at the barriers between platforms nine and ten. Despite doing this for the past three years, she still got nervous about the gateway closing and crashing into it, or even crashing into a muggle. After about a minute she opened her eyes, and found herself looking at the gleaming red steam train on platform nine and 3 quarters. She smiled to herself, she was starting her fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy and she knew this year was going to be the best. Shortly after her arrival onto the platform her father Harry, her mother Ginny and two older brothers James Sirius and Albus Severus followed.

Her father tapped her on the shoulder and she immediately turned around.

'I'm just going to see if I can find Ron and Hermione, are you alright to stay here?' He asked her, with a slight smile.

'Yeah, its fine, I'm meant to be waiting for Rose here anyway' Lily replied. Her father and mother walked off to find her Aunt and Uncle, and she had no idea where her brothers had got too, so Lily just waited to see if her best friend and Cousin Rose would turn up soon.

Soon enough she felt an arm go round her shoulder, she turned around and saw Rose standing there, beaming at her. Despite being two years apart, her and Rose had always been the best of friends, nothing could ever come between them.

'Hey Lily' Rose said, hugging her 'We can catch up later, but I need to go, I need to meet Scorpius on the train before Dad comes back from speaking to your father, you know what he'd be like if he found out about us. Just tell him I've gone to put on my robes'

Lily let go of her, and sighed. Yet again, she had to lie for her. Rose had been secretly dating Scorpius Malfoy since their fourth year at Hogwarts, how she managed to keep it a secret for that long Lily would never know. She knew what her Uncle Ron would be like if he found out, the Malfoys have never been spoken about in either of their households and to find out that his only daughter was dating one would absolutely destroy him. Lily didn't dare think about what would happen to Rose, if this got out.

She looked up and saw that the time was now nearly eleven am. She saw her mother and father running towards her.

'You better get on the train, otherwise you'll miss your fourth year and we don't want that do we?' Harry smiled at her. Lily shook her head, and smiled back at him.

'Goodbye sweetheart, remember to write to us every week, and have a great term' Ginny said, hugging her tightly, trying to hold back the tears. She did this every year.

Lily hugged her mother back and then her father, before boarding the ruby red train that was The Hogwarts Express. As the train set out of the platform she looked out the window, waved goodbye to her mother and father, and then went about finding a compartment to sit in. She would probably sit with her cousin Hugo, as Rose was obviously preoccupied. As she walked on, she saw Rose sitting in compartment on her own with Scorpius. Her head was on his shoulder and she was looking out of the window, at the spectacular landscape. Lily was just about to walk off when she suddenly noticed Scorpius looking at her, he wasn't just glancing at her, he was staring.

Lily, looking and feel startled walked off and soon found Hugo, with Albus and James. She sat down, and started to stare out of the window at several fields and rivers, all the time thinking 'why was Scorpius staring at me?'…
