"You know, Honey. I don't want this baby anymore."
"So you want to just, throw him away?"
"The Doctors wouldn't care, right? They would just put him in a foster home."
"Yes, they probably would."
After a few moments of silence, they decided to throw the baby in a garbage can near their room. They left the hospital without another trace. One of the nurse found the baby in the garbage can, she took the baby and gave it in to a small foster home where Mr. And Mr. Smith took care of him. As young as 1 years old, Armin has been taught to take care of himself. Getting dressed on his own and having good behaviour. The Smiths would do horrible things to the foster kids they took care of. Mostly Armin would be the most abused. He would be tortured in ways leaving him mostly dead. They would play games, such games included hide and seek. Which involved Erwin looking for Armin with a crowbar in his hands, and Levi telling him where Armin is. That wasn't the worse part either. Armin would constantly get beaten with pipes, metal bats, and anything steel material. They would mostly beat him in the head with it, causing him to lose a little bit of consciousness. Then Erwin would force him to chant 'I'm a bad boy, I'm a bad boy'. If Armin wouldn't do that, Erwin would continusally beat him in the head with whatever hard metal material he had. This caused bleeding in Armin's eyes, ears, and mouth. Then, Levi would force Armin to sit in the Time Out corner, where there is a mirror in which Armin has to look at himself for a long period of time and 'think' about what he has done.
Armin was always the one in the group of kids that always thought it was his fault for existing. He always blamed himself for the things that happened. And The Smiths always said he was right for blaming himself. They laugh in his face and call him names that a child shouldn't be called. When all the other kids had food, and use the bathroom, The Smiths would force Armin to eat whatever was in the toilet. If he refused, Levi would grab him by the hair and slam his face in the toilet. Chanting, over and over again, "Eat it, you little sh*t."
Armin would become insomniac, staying awake late night, forming black circles under his eyes. He became insecure with his body. Since he was so skinny, he thought no one would love him. Ever. He was still very young, only 8 years old but, the thought of misbehaving meant his life would end. So, he stayed as invisible as possible. Staying away from anything that would get him in trouble. This consisted of him staying in the room all day and using any small blade he can find to carve images on his skin. A happy family, on his skin. It didn't get him in trouble until, Erwin came in yelling at him about how he's a lazy piece of sh*t, when he saw the blood all over the floor from the self harm. He grabbed Armin by the arm, taking him to Levi. In which Levi took Armin to the Time Out corner, where Levi grabbed Armin's hair and slammed his face against the mirror. This caused Armin's nose to break and he started bleeding everywhere. After that, Levi stopped and told Armin in his ear, "You want to misbehave again? I dare you." Armin was terrified, and the thought of doing anything at all now, scared him.
After a few minutes that passed, it was time that Erwin had to go to work. So as he head out he said goodbye and told Armin when he gets home, they're going to play a little game together. Levi was amused by that and laughed.
