Young hobbit all alone
wanting to be forgiven
he thinks he causes pain
to all of those around him
such a small being
with a broken spirit
a bird with broken wings
the flame in him is gone
extinguished by his torment
happiness is that of yesterday
when he was just a child
in ways he is still a child
but he has had to grow too fast
