Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Toby's Discovery" from Season 5. Enjoy and comment.

One fine morning, Sir Topham Hatt took his grandchildren to see Toby.

"Come along Toby!" he said. "You're taking us to the seaside. We will ride in Henrietta."

"Yes sir!" said Toby happily.

Soon, they arrived at the seaside station.

Sir Topham Hatt's grandchildren played in the sand, and built a splendid sandcastle.

"That is a very fine castle." said Sir Topham Hatt. "Have you ever seen a real castle?"

"Yes we have!" replied the children. "There's one on Sodor."

Then, they showed Sir Topham Hatt a map.

"I wonder if we shall visit it?" thought Sir Topham Hatt.

They met Toby again at the harbor.

"Come along again Toby! We're going exploring!"

Toby was excited! He loved exploring.

Soon, they were in the wildest part of Sodor.

They stopped by the lone signal-box.

"Where are you going?" asked the signalman.

"We're trying to find an old castle." explained Sir Topham Hatt, and he showed him the map.

"I know exactly where it is sir! There's a small junction not too far down the line. That will take you there!"

The signalman switched the points, and then, the adventure began!

Toby pushed his way through branches and bushes, until they came to another little junction.

There were two signs. One had a arrow pointed left, that led to the castle, and another had a arrow pointed right, which led to a mine.

"We'll go to the castle first!" said Sir Topham Hatt.

Soon, they arrived at the castle.

"This must be the place." said Sir Topham Hatt.

After admiring the castle for some time, it was time to visit the mine.

I should note that the mine was worked by Duke long long ago. The tracks were still in place, but everything was rusty and old.

Sir Topham Hatt was most impressed, but Toby was scared.

He was glad when it was time to go home.

But that night, Sir Topham Hatt came to see him.

"Thank you for such a wonderful adventure Toby! I think the castle and the mine would make great places for visitors, but it will take some hard work first!"

"Yes sir." said Toby nervously.

Sir Topham Hatt's plan was soon put into action.

But Toby was still worried,

"I'm sure this place is haunted!" shivered Toby.

"We're going to stay here tonight." said his driver.

Toby was scared.

"Beware the warrior ghost!" teased Thomas. "He goes hunting each night!"

That night, Toby was scared. Everything looked spooky.

Suddenly, he heard a strange wheezing sound.

"IT'S THE GHOST!" he wailed.

"What ghost?" asked his driver.

"The old warrior ghost! He's come to hunt me down!"

"Don't be so scared! We'll go and investigate!"

They returned quite soon.

"The old warrior would like to meet you!" said the fireman.

"Can't we wait 'till morning?" replied Toby.

"Ghosts don't work day-shifts!" laughed his driver.

So Toby bravely made his way over.

Toby was relieved to see that the warrior ghost was a little old engine!

"This is Bertram." said his driver, "but we call him the warrior engine, because he's so brave/

Bertram and Toby are now great friends, and take passengers to the castle and mine.

And if there are any ghosts, they help to make the place happy.
