Everyone was gone, disappeared behind a cloud of death,

Elizabeth, those two had said, in their last cold wakeful breath,

And all that remained was that, that had been there before,

A pirate maiden, and a man, who had hinged death's old doors.

That she had hid, a gleeful smile, being with him everyday,

Although she knew, no love returned, she still gave hers away,

And when he had estranged her, she acted full of strife,

But they both knew her hatred of the cushy firm ground life.

And they had met long ago, in a port off Singapore,

A swordfight clash of difference, leave death to settle score,

She had smiled at him dazedly, disappeared into the night,

No bitterness nipped at her brow, as she took her flight.

Now she lay, a tired lass, dying at his feet,

Her spirit stricken from her, as a ship had loss it's speed,

But there was no scowl from this man, no smirk or bitter scoff,

He only kissed her soft cold lips and said "no running off."
