Chapter 1
The Dark Days
In the days after the fall of Myspace many social networks struggled to rise to power. The struggle was fierce. Many placed their faith in Facebook and Twitter while others turned to Youtube and Deviant Art. But it came as a complete surprise to all when a dark horse named Tumblr stormed into the war and united many of the factions through its use of sharing art, videos, everyday status updates, and kind, good hearted people. Led by President Karp for a time there was peace as people were able to express themselves quickly through any means they wished and connect to others even faster. But not all was as it seemed under Karp's rule. United as one the fandoms of Tumblr united against Karp to take back their social network.
They failed.
Punishment was dealt swiftly to the fandoms. First there were the character limits in asks and replies. Then came the post limit. Finally the direct attacks upon Missing e claiming it to be harmful to the fandoms of Tumblr, but President Karp was far from done. In order to make the fandoms remember what they had done and to whom they owed their allegiance to Karp ordered the Tumblr Games:
"Each year the fandoms shall offer up in tribute, one young man and woman to be trained in the art of survival and to be prepared to fight to the death." -President David Karp
