"IT ISN'T FAIR!" my older sister, Megan, yelled. I sighed and walked down the stairs. "Shh, Meg, it's going to be okay, these people will help you" I told my sister as Megan packed her bags, stuffing things in angrily. "Mum and Dad sent me to a crazy people house, Emily, so, no, it won't be okay" Megan said, tears welling up in her eyes.
I sighed again. Megan was somewhat crazy, she said she could do magic, her tricks were cool, but they all had a catch. Megan believed the tricks she was doing were real. It was ridiculous. The school had found out that she thought she was a witch of some sort and now she was going to a group home. I didn't think that was a good enough reason, but they certainly did.
Wide eyed, Megan turned to me, and said "Em, you believe me right? You know I'm a witch, right?" I could feel the tears coming in my eyes. This wasn't fair, why did this have to happen to Megan, to my family? I shook my head and spoke quietly "I'm sorry Meg".
Megan didn't have a panic attack or freak out like I expected her to. She just shook her head and said "why didn't you ever tell me? I thought all this was real," she paused and pointed her finger at the wall, it went into flames. I screamed. "Megan! GET SOME WATER RIGHT NOW!" I was yelling at her, she just simply pointed again and the fire was gone. The whole side of that wall was scorched.
"Meg, I'm sorry I didn't believe you, but we have to get you out of here right now." I whispered urgently, hoping no one but Megan could hear. She nodded and spoke just as softly as I did, "back door, now, I see the people coming up the driveway," she glanced out the window "and they're coming, fast."
We quickly hurried out the back door, forgetting all of her stuff waiting at the front porch for the people. I held onto the back of her shirt, scared that if I let go, I'd never see her again.
