A short little one shot I came up with at 4 o'clock in the morning^^ More (longer) one shots will follow soon after!

And I'm really sorry about 'Broken Promises'! I know I promised you to update it last week, but school just won't let me! The only reason why I manage to keep uploading one shots, is because most of them are almost done on only waiting to be uploaded!

Nightmare

"No! No! Guys, no! Please, don't leave me!"

It was so dark. Why was it so dark? Donatello felt so lost, so very alone, as he watched it over and over.

Mikey was the first one. Surrounded by the Shredder's Karaibots.

Mikey turned his head, to look at his purple clad brother, one more time.

"Donny, I -!"

The sharp sound of blades meeting flesh cut the air. Michelangelo groaned, fell to the ground, unmoving.

"Mikey! No, no, please, not again!"

Leo's turn. Karai sliced his body open when he turned his back on her. Completely without honor.

Leo's moan of pain and shock stabbed the bo wielding turtle like a knife.

"No, no! Leo, no!"

Raphael used his last strength to crawl over to his brother, crying 'Leo!' over and over.

He collapsed onto his brother, holding his hand.

Lifelessly.

"No, no, NO!"

"Donny! Calm down! It's just a nightmare!"

Don jerked up, his body trembling and sweating. An arm was lying around his chest, steadying him.

His breathing was fast and uneven, the images still stuck in Donny's haunted mind.

"Sshh, everything's okay, Donny. Everything's okay."

Don felt how he was pulled into a warm, loving embrace, an embrace that felt so familiar.

"Leo", he whispered, burying his head into his blue clad older brother's shoulder and crying it all out.

Leo softly stroked his shell, whispering comforting words into his brother's ear. Donny sobbed and whimpered, clinging tighter onto Leonardo.

"Leo. You're alive. You're alive!" Leo didn't know what to say to this, he just tightened his hug. *Draco*, he thought bitterly.

"Sshh, just relax, Donny. I'm right here." He pulled away and pressed Donny into the mattress. "I'm right here."

Donny was still crying and whimpered as his eldest brother broke contact. He desperately reached out for him, to make sure he wouldn't disappear.

Leo bent down to press a soft kiss on his little brother's forehead.

"Ssssshhhhh…sleep, Donny. Just sleep. I'll stay here with you, okay? I won't go anywhere."

Donny's breathing slowed down a little and he closed his eyes. His older brother laid down next to him, pulling him close and softly running his hand up and down Donny's shell.

"Go back to sleep. Your big brother is here. Your big brother protects you!"

Donny's breathing was all smoothly now and he snuggled close against his big brother, tucking his head under Leo's chin.

His older brother's soft heart beat and the soothing words that were whispered into his ear made it easy for Donny to slip into a deep and peaceful slumber, the knowledge that his big brother was with him keeping the nightmares away.

Both brothers smiled in their sleep.
