Four Words, Fourteen Letters
Days pass us by too fast
It seems like yesterday we were strangers
Today, two people who can't get enough of one another
You dream of things I haven't thought
I do them to make you happy
I don't want to ever let you down
Fighting's in our blood
We usually fight the whole day, or the whole week
But end up reconciling at the end of it
The love we have is something meaningful
It is beautiful
I wouldn't call it perfect
I know it will never end
One day we promised we'd wait
We did
But waiting is something I did not want to do anymore
So I kneeled,
Kneeled in front of you
Held your hand and caressed it
Your eyes were welling with tears of joy
I smiled to see you not cry but
I smiled to see how special I am to have you
"Each passing day,
I cannot live without you,
Although at times we might have arguments
We could make it through
I'm here with you, and you're with me.
I'm sorry for hurting you,
I'm sorry for all the other things
But I thank you
I thank you, that you gave my life meaning
And made me feel and realize and do so much more.
So, Blair Cornelia Waldorf,
Will you marry me?"
She was speechless.
I was waiting for something.
Wait for it. Wait for it.
"Yes. Yes Charles Bartholomew Bass, I will marry you."
I wiped the tears off of her face and we kissed.
Today is the beginning something new.
We might not be married yet, but all I know is this,
Life goes on, it maybe difficult, but it is beautiful.
