Sebastian and Ciel are almost done with a battle when Sebastian gets bullets completely through his chest again and not only that literally stabbed in the back through his heart just barely puncturing it but Sebastian's body writhes and he coughs up all the bullets and turns toward the guy who stabbed him in the back and grabs the knife out of his back.

"Oh my, this just won't do. Young Master close your eyes please." says Sebastian

Ciel nods and does so, all he hears is the deaths of these people Sebastian wouldn't ask him to close his eyes if it wasn't going to turn Ciel's stomach. Sebastian picks up Ciel and carries him off to the mansion. While there Ciel lectures Sebastian harshly on how he should be more careful and he should be quicker when bullets are coming toward him. Ciel was really worried about Sebastian in that fight. He could have gone a few days without seeing Sebastian. It's sundown when the lecturing ends and Ciel walks off without another word. Sebastian waits before Ciel's completely out of the room before touching where the bullets and knife hit. He decides to heal himself later that night after Ciel has gone to bed, he'd rather not worry him. The day goes on as it normally as if nothing happened. However that night, Ciel feels really guilty about what he said to Sebastian and goes to talk to him. He stops and sees Sebastian with his shirt off. Ciel stops and watches.

"What the bloody hell is he doing?" thinks Ciel

He then sees the wounds from earlier today. His eyes go wide as he sees as one wound looks like if he were human would have killed him. Ciel slumps to the ground out of the sight of light and covers his face. He feels even worse than ever and starts to think: "What if Sebastian was human?" After today he wouldn't have his lover, then Ciel thinks back to all Sebastian has done for him in more ways than his butler. It starts to dawn on Ciel just how much he needs and loves Sebastian. Ciel sits there and thinks while Sebastian tends to himself. Ciel starts to get really worried that Sebastian's heart might be seriously injured. Sebastian starts walking out of the room and sees Ciel sitting on the floor. Ciel looks up at Sebastian like a child who just got caught sneaking near the livingroom to hear what goes on when they go to bed.

"Young master? What are you doing by my bedroom?" asks Sebastian

"I was actually coming to see you. I was coming to apologize for lecturing you so harshly today. I see you're busy right now so I'll come back later." says Ciel, scampering to his feet.

He goes to rush off but Sebastian's quick thinking catches Ciel and brings him back to him.

"Ciel. What's wrong?" asks Sebastian

After denial after denial, Ciel finally tells Sebastian what's wrong.

"I see." says Sebastian

"yeah…" says Ciel, turning red

Sebastian holds him close.

"How about you sleep with me tonight, young master? Have all that fear melt away? " asks Sebastian

Ciel looked about ready to object but even he can't deny how much better he'd feel hearing the familiar lullaby of Sebastian's heartbeat.

"...Alright." replies Ciel, looking away.

So Sebastian takes Ciel into his bedroom and after stripping out of his jeans and shoes he joins Ciel into bed and holds Ciel close. Ciel yawns listening to Sebastian's heartbeat, it's actually very comforting and terrifying at the same time. This time it's just enough soothing Ciel into a deep sleep but not before saying one thing.

"I love you, Sebastian" says Ciel

"I love you too, Ciel." says Sebastian, with a smile

Holding hands they both fall asleep.
