Being lonely, I have always wanted a friend. Although I am as free
as a bird, I was never happy.
I fluff up my feathers to keep myself warm as it was cold at
night.As soon as the sun rays peek through the mountains, I was off in
search of a friend. By noon, I stopped and rest at the side of the
mountain. I saw a dark figure behind the metal bars attached to the
mountain.
Feeling curious, I hopped pass the bars and saw it was a human
boy. He turned around, stunned for a moment, and reach out his hand
towards me. Without second thoughts, I hopped happily onto his palm and
started chirping. He started smiling at me and that is how we both
became friends.
For many months, We past each day happily by playing, sing and
even trying to talk to each other. I never failed to bring cherries
back to him as he always ate them quickly and happily. I like that
stupid-innocent look on his face.
For the days past too quickly for me and it time for me to go.
Before I left the world entirely, Goku tried to reach out from the
bars to get me. He forced and even squeeze his face between the get me
but failed to do so. So close I was yet far by an inch. Finally
accepting the fact that he could not reach me, he broke into tears.
I wish that I could be with him forever but my time has come. Tears
wet my feathers as I depart from my little yellow body.
