She has always been happy, athletic and joyous over matters. Her name is Konata Izumi. She loves anime, manga and video games. She had always pulled all-nighters for playing games, though even without studying she had good grades. However, not anyone knew what really was going on. Each and every frame that we've seen about her, all about her life, was actually the mirror of her reality.
Konata is locked in a dark, cold and silent room. Again, she's waiting for her every day fate, as a light started to break that dark and cold room. It was her father who opened the door, but not to pick her up or save her. She knew it would happen again. She must do what her father wants or else, she'll get beaten up and won't be able to eat her meals. Her father started to hold her, and smiled wildly as he removed her clothes again. Even though her whole body is scared and wanted to break free from it, there was no escape.
Konata's mind and imagination is a creation of her delusions and wishes that never happened. Ever since her mother died, her father Sojiro also changed, as if, he sees Konata not as his child anymore. She thought it was every child's duty to please their fathers, not only till she knew everything was wrong. Her delusions created an image of a good and supporting father. Konata's games, manga, all her friends are just images projected by her mind as she lies to the dark and cold room, molested by her father. Each and every frame of them were creations of her only wish, the images that she thought would happen in reality, but it was stored on a part of her mind and sanity.
Kagami and Tsuukasa Hiiragi, the twin sisters, were actually Konata's imagination of ideal and good friends. She wanted to have friends, but, she never had. Her father locked her in that room. Everytime that she would not do what her father wants, she'd be beaten up, tortured and tormented by yet again being locked on a cellar, more worse than being a prisoner. Kagami is mirroring her strong side, but not to be able to show it. Tsuukasa is the mirror of her innocence and delicate heart. Konata created these images to sooth her dying feelings of friendship.
Miyuki Takara, the pink haired girl is Konata's frame of perfection. Konata wanted to be beautiful and admired by all. Her friends rely on Miyuki on their studies, her cuteness and her appearance is the image created by Konata's sanity of her desire to be with friends with everybody. She wanted to be beautiful, cute, and such appearance would surely make her mother smile.
Nanako Kuroi, the teacher is Konata's image of her supportive sister, who actually died by being beaten by her father before. However, their mother kept silent, because she knew that she would be the ones angered by her demonic husband, she protected them both, but her sister died due to blood loss and many bruises that triggered her death. Since then, her sister was buried into their memories.
Before Konata fainted, she saw an image of her parents hugging her when she was still a child. Yes, the innocent and young Konata. It was her delusion of a perfect family; however, the harsh reality again flashes into her eyes, as her father pins her on the bed and started kissing her body. She closed her eyes, thinking perhaps it was just a part of a dream and someday she would wake up into the real life where her father is an ideal man and her mother is still alive, play with her joyous sister and with her friends on her side.
