A (Not-So-Secret-Now) Love Affair

Sam wiped his lips, trying to get the strawberry flavored lipgloss off of them that had gotten on them during their hot-and-heavy makeout, and said, "So I'll come over at around 8-ish tonight, K?"

"I'll be waiting." Rachel said huskily as she finger-combed her hair back into perfection and smoothed out her outfit.

"See ya later than. Love you." He replied opening the janitor closet's door right before the bell rang .

"Love you too!" Rachel exclaimed, pecking him on the lips before departing to her locker as Sam did the same, right as the bell rang and the other students flooded into the hallway.

Sam and Rachel had been having an affair since the day Sam had transferred to McKinley. Rachel was going out with Finn back then (and still is) mainly for the popularity. She didn't want slushie facials, and going out with Finn made everyone stop giving them to her. She and Sam were waiting for Sam's popularity to match her own so the could be open about their relationship and not get slushied (This was a solution they agreed on). For Sam to get that popularity as quickly as possible, he had to start going out with Quinn. Rachel was fine with that as long as Sam and Quinn didn't go past 1st base (This Sam was fine with for Rachel made sure to make it up to him). Sam had recently become as popular as Rachel and they were both preparing to break up with their public partners. In fact, that was what they were going to do now.

Rachel certainly wasn't expecting Finn to break up with her first, though. Finn marched up with Quinn behind him, coming from breaking up with Sam herself. Rachel looked at Sam across the hallway and he winked at her. Finn then started to talk.

"We're over, Rachel. I seriously can stand you!" Finn yelled at her. Rachel kept her face clear of any emotions until he was done.

"Your selfish and rude, and your just plain annoying!" Finn said smirking waiting to see Rachel's heartbroken expression that secretly pleased him. The crowd that had formed during his speech held their breath as well. He was extremely confused when he saw her face brighten and smirk.

"You took the words right out of my mouth Finn. Oh, and don't worry," Rachel said tauntingly, "The feeling is mutual." The crowd gasped and started whispering things like 'BURNN!', 'You just got dissed man', 'She got you!', and so on. Finn and Quinn's smirks melted right off of their faces.

Rachel walked over to Sam, knowing everyone was watching her, grabbed Sam's collar, and kissed him passionately and hungrily. Sam immediately responded to his now-public-girlfriend's kiss, and wove his fingers through her hair while yanking her close to his body. Everyone was shocked, able to tell that these types of kisses were not new between the couple. Rachel and Sam finally broke apart in need of air, interlocking their hands as they walked down the hallway, leaving behind a shocked crowd and a brokenhearted new couple that were VERY upset by the nickname of 'Fuinn' behind.

A/N Did you guys like it? It's the first fanfic I've done since January, and it all started with wondering what a different response to the break ups could have been. It is just a one-shot, but please review!
