I sighed and pulled on my t-shirt and shorts. Another day, let's see what I have to do. Umm... Mom said to do... Right! Math homework, uh, play piano, um... I racked my brain, I was forgetting something, and I really didn't want my mom finding out that I didn't do whatever she wanted me to do. Whatever, we can figure it out after breakfast.
I stepped into my bathroom, we had just recently moved into a new house, so I got to pick all my furniture. Okay, brush teeth, wash face, put on contact lenses... check, check, check. Rushing down the stairs, I saw something flash before my eyes. Kind of like...a snake? Whatever, I have a deathly fear anyway.
''Georgie, what do you want for breakfast?'' I asked my twin brother, knowing it was pointless, he always said the same thing. Which was-
''Sliced peaches and oatmeal, with a teensy bit of brown sugar in my oatmeal please, '' Guessed it.
I sighed and got to work, Georgie was a sweetheart, but cooking the same thing every morning was a bit boring. Turns out, I'm a pretty decent chef, and I like cooking, so I looked farther in the topic and now I can make a ton of stuff, but Georgie doesn't even seem to notice.
You may notice at this point that my life is very boring, I was craving something more, anything interesting, even the teensiest bump in the road. So I did what I always do when my parents aren't home, go on an adventure. I grabbed my Nike Trainers and slipped them on and expertly unhooked my bike from the bike rack like I had done it a thousand times- which I have -and rode into the woods behind our house.
