BraveNess' Birthday

"Cassie! You little trouble maker come back here!" BraveNess laughed as he chased after the young girl. It was his birthday and told her that she was going to have to stay in the Loch for the whole day with him!

"BraveNess! I have homework to do!" Cassie laughed as she tried to hide behind his large pillow, but he was not deterred. He stuck his long neck on the opposite side and then gave her a nuzzle in her side, making her giggle.

"AH!" She giggled and began to run with him hot on her trail.

"I said come back here!" He laughed as he then gained on her and caught her in his flipper-like hands. He then threw her over his shoulder and began to tickle her. She couldn't help but laugh at his fun and playful antics. She loved Braveness! And the best part about the Nessies was the fact that they aged so much slower than humans. So she was hoping that one day when she was older, she would be able to date him. But she would never tell him that! However, ForgetfulNess forgot that Cassie's crush was to remain a secret!

"Cassie! When you are older are you and BraveNess going to be mates?" ForgetfulNess said out loud. BraveNess' eyes widened and Cassie's entire face turned red!

"I know you said that you hoped that you could one day so is it true?" ForgetfulNess asked again.

"I…uh…um…," Cassie stuttered as she looked up and saw BraveNess look at her in curiosity. "I've gotta go!" She said as she quickly packed up her items and ran out.

"Cassie! Wait! Stop!" BraveNess called as he saw her slide down the slide. He then flew out of his nest and followed her down the slide. She crashed at the bottom in a small pool and she looked up just in time to see him dive in the deeper part of the pool and begin swimming towards her.

"Cassie! Hold on…we need to talk," he said softly as he was gaining on her.

"BraveNess…uh…I need to…um…go and finish my homework. I have a book report due tomorrow!" She said quickly, but then she felt his tail wrap around her arm and pull her closer to him.

"Not so fast! You aren't going anywhere. Remember, today you are spending the day with me! We will take care of that book report later," he said as he pulled her closer and then flew her back up to his nest. Cassie shyly looked away from him, but she was snapped from her thoughts when she heard him chuckle and when she felt a kiss on her cheek. She turned to look at him and he then curled her closer to his chest.

"Now, take it easy…everything is alright."

"B-But he said…I mean…he…." At that moment, he covered her mouth gently with his hand.

"I know what he said and I don't think he said anything wrong." He chuckled. Cassie then looked at him in shock! "When you are a bit older, I think that anything can happen."

"You mean…,"

"You know what I mean," he chuckled with a friendly nuzzle. "In the future anything is possible; now c'mere and give me a hug!" He laughed as he let Cassie curl up in his neck and hug him tightly. BraveNess was the best Nessie!
