When Lex walked into his office, the last thing he expected to see was Clark laying on the couch, with a blanket covering his face.
"Clark?" Lex asked, moving towards the young man. A low moan was given in response, and the blanket slowly lifted a little.
"Hey Lex." Clark whispered, and Lex dropped to a squat near his friends head. He didn't look all that well.
"Are you alright Clark? You don't look well." Lex asked, putting a hand on Clark's forehead. He didn't have a fever, nor did it look like he was going to throw up.
"No. I've got a killer headache. Being at home wasn't helping any, so I came here. Is that ok?" Clark asked, cracking one eye to check Lex's face. There was a gentle grin there.
"Yeah, it's ok Clark. In fact, I know something that could help make the headache go away."
"Please."
"Alright, but you need to sit up for a minute." Lex said, and Clark did so, squeezing his eyes shut. Lex quickly sat down, and gently pulled Clark's head into his lap. Once they were both comfortable, Lex began, slowly, running his hand through Clark's hair.
"Oh……..ah." Clark said, or actually groaned, and turned his face into Lex's stomach, Lex smiled and started rubbing as well. The two men stayed like that for several hours.
"Lex." Clark said at one point, reaching up and grabbing Lex's hand.
"Yes Clark."
"I have something to confess."
"Oh?" Lex said, and Clark sat up so that he could look at Lex. His headache was almost gone.
"Promise that, no matter what happens, you'll still be my friend. I couldn't bear the thought of losing you." Clark said, looking very scared. Lex grew worried, and he squeezed Clark's hand.
"Of course Clark." He said, and Clark took a deep breath.
"I'minlovewithyoupleasedon'tfreakout." Clark said in one big breath. Lex gave a small smile and a chuckle.
"Clark, if you want me to understand that, you need to say it again, more slowly." Lex said, and Clark gave a weak smile, and tried again.
"I'm in love with you, please don't freak out." Clark said again, only slower. He watched Lex's face carefully for any signs of disgust or anger. But there was no sign of them. Instead there was surprise, and something like joy.
"Oh Clark." Lex said, smiling brightly, he climbed into Clark's lap and wrapped his arms around the other's neck. Clark leaned into Lex, putting his face in Lex's neck and wrapping his arms around the older man's waist.
"I love you too." Lex said back, kissing Clark's temple and when Clark pulled his head back, Lex moved foreward and covered Clark's lips with his own. Clark's lips were so soft and warm. Lex's tongue licked at said lips, and Clark moaned, opening his mouth up to him. When they pulled back, they smiled at each other.
"I'm glad I had a headache."
"Oh, why?"
"Because I got up enough courage to confess to you, when you were stroking my hair." Clark said, and they laughed.
"Then I'm glad too."
