Daddy's Little Girl

A poem about the feelings behind loosing the daughter that never existed.

By: Seuss Fan

He enters the room that would have been her's

That would have protected her tiny body

That would have housed her throughout all of her years

Looks around and feels a hole appearing in his chest

She's a dream

A lie that went too far

Daddy's little girl is gone

To haunt his dreams never more

He watches the video one more time

Sees her limbs move back and forth

Her heart beat within her

This little girl is rightfully someone else's

He'll never hold her

Never even see her

That dream has passed

Daddy's little girl will guide his thoughts no more

Two men were chasing her

Treasured her more than most

But they soon learned

They desired a ghost

For one she was a fib concealed heavily in deceit

For another she was a cover-up

A ploy to help protect the dark that lied beneath

When she is born she will not know of the drama she has caused

That resulted from conspiracy

She will enjoy all the pleasures that most young children do

But those eyes that belong

To those two men who had her ripped from their hearts

Will know

They'll shed tears

And conceal the love that would have been given to their precious

Little girl
