She had been waiting for this moment for years. On the eve of the planetary eclipse the moon would overflow with magic, the perfect time to put her plan into motion.

Watching the eclipse, she waited until there was only a sliver of the moon showing, then started to gather some of the magic leaking from it.

After a strenuous ten minutes spent gathering, she finally managed to collect enough magic to manifest a form, but only for a short time.

Looking down towards Jack Frost, who was resting after a long day, a slight smile appeared on her newly formed lips. He looks so peaceful when he is sleeping...

Flying over to him, she landed on a branch close to level with his. She leaned over and began to lightly trace his facial features, from running her fingers through his snow white hair, to faintly tracing his slightly open mouth.

Once she finished looking over him, she sighed. Sadly, this just isn't meant to be... That thought was followed by the realization that the eclipse was almost over, and her time in that form was almost up.

Leaning down one last time, she let her lips ghost over Jack's cheek wistfully. Sleep well, Jack Frost.

One tear slid down her cheek as she looked upon him with love in her eyes. Then, like dust blown away, the form was gone and she was The Wind once more.
