A/N: I have never stepped foot in the fandom. I do not know what's out there, but thumbs up to those that are going for the OT3. It's CLAMP, so I wouldn't put it past them to make it canon yet (look at MKR). Just to let you know, I haven't seen every single CLAMP series out there yet. To date, I'm on book 12 of Holic and 21 of Tsubasa.
A Wish for Wonderland
It was hard to say who started it first.
Perhaps it was Doumeki
with his apparent nonchalance in dealing with the person that seemed
to hate him.
Perhaps it was Himawari in
her admiration of a person that didn't seem to be affected so by her
presence, no matter how moderate it was.
Perhaps it was Watanuki,
who, although he constantly was a factor in other people's desires,
had no ambition to act on his own before he met Yuuko.
Perhaps it was Yuuko, when
she and Clow wished for a world in which their dreams could come
true.
Perhaps it was Sakura, who
wished for everyone to be happy and in love.
Perhaps it was Kamui, who
gave up his life for that wish in a world that did not touch theirs,
but nevertheless could have affected it.
Perhaps it was Hikaru, who
refused to let another person give up their happiness for another's,
who became the Pillar of a world that began their own.
Perhaps it was Kobato, who
gathered up people's wishes to help fulfill her own.
Perhaps it was Syaoran, who himself was a shadow of granting of a wish, possibilities split until all are shadows until the truth becomes light.
Perhaps it doesn't matter who started it, but things began to change. Doumeki began to interact more with others, even if it meant them caring about him. Watanuki began to accept his presence and encourage Himawari, even if it meant imposing himself on the both of them. Himawari began to accept Watanuki and get closer to Doumeki as well, even if it meant hurting them. Because each of them wanted the others' happiness, even at the cost of their own. Even if the cost asked them to be happy when the world around them was not.
And because other people wanted it that way as well.
