"Yes."
"Pardon?"
"Yes, I'll go out with you Potter."
A slow smile spread across my face.
"Ah but Lily, I don't believe I've asked you out yet."
"As if the fourteen billion times you did in the last three years doesn't count." She countered.
"You see, the way I see it Lil, is that I haven't asked you out in a whole day. Therefore, my previous proposals- which by the way you turned down oh-so rudely, no longer apply."
"What are you saying, Potter?"
My smirk slowly increased in size.
"I'm merely saying that you can't agree to something I haven't asked you."
"You're really doing this, Potter? Really?" She was turning slightly red now.
"I'm not doing anything!" I insisted, "Just letting you know, that by agreeing to this non-existent question, you are really asking me out."
"You're joking! What kind of twisted logic is this?"
"Yes."
"Yes, what, Potter?"
"Yes I'll go out with you this weekend."
I watched as her face changed to match her hair. I could see the fire building in her eyes.
"You know what? You, are the most obnoxious, self-centered, arse in the entire world!"
"So what time shall I meet you for our date?"
"Oh no! I revoke my invitation!"
"So you admit it?"
"Admit what?"
"That you asked me out!"
That was when she dumped the entire pitcher of pumpkin juice on my head, and proceeded to walk away, muttering to herself all the way.
