Neville silently ran up the staircase he mustn't get caught tonight he thought to himself. But as he looked behind her to check if there were any prefects or Filch were following her, and ran straight into somebody. Squinting into the darkness he whispered "who's that?"
"L-L-Luna," They replied
"Hi Luna, where are you going?" Neville blurted out
"Oh... uhh, looking for one of my radish earrings, they got lost somewhere,"
"But it's so late!" Neville exclaimed, going red, but thankfully it was dark so Luna couldn't see
"Oh," She replied, out of ideas, "I hadn't realised"
"It's black everywhere, how couldn't you of realised?" Neville said "Sorry Luna, I'm a bit tired"
"Oh no, it's okay. Anyway, why are you out?"
"Just got back from the astronomy tower, maybe you could come with me tomorrow if you like maybe?" Neville tried to say
"Oh that would be lovely," Luna smiled, but Neville couldn't see because it's so dark.
She heard a noise from outside. She got nervous and grabbed Neville's hand
Neville gripped tightly onto Luna's hand "I think it's Mrs Norris" He said in a quite whisper
"Neville," Luna whispered, "What happens if we get caught?"
"Detention? I doubt Professor Dumbledore will do much else, he might give us a few detentions though" He said hopefully
"But it's way after hours. It would be more than a few detentions,"
"We can tell him that we were in the astronomy tower and we fell asleep" Neville suggested
"But it's out of bounds," Luna whispered.
She started cuddling up to Neville, making him blush. Though it wasn't noticeable in the dark.
He subtly put his arm around Luna's shoulder, "Luna, I think it's gone"
"I don't think so," She replied.
She put her head on his shoulder
Hugging her closer Neville tried to sooth her "It's definitely gone now" Neville chuckled
"But," She said, "Don't let go,"
"Don't worry" He assured "I wasn't going too" He pulled Luna in for a kiss, but waited for a response
She leaned in and closed her eyes, not that Neville could see
They shared their first kiss together, when Neville and Luna finally broke it, they looked into each other's eyes, clearly astonished about what they just did
Luna started giggling and kissed Neville on the cheek
Neville's smile turned into a massive grin as Luna spun around and ran off to Ravenclaw common room
She giggled all the way to the common room, without getting caught
"Whoa" Neville breathed as he skipped to Griffindor common room
He started laughing and blushing, getting stares from everyone in the common room
"Whets up with you Longbottom?" Taunted the Weasley twins
Ginny looked at him and said, "What happened?"
"Ahhhh Weasleys!" Neville gushed, as if he was walking on water "I've just had the best night of my life" He sung as he twirled into the boys dormitory
Harry and Ron starting staring at him.
"Bloody hell, Neville. What happened to you?" Ron asked
"Not another love potion was it?" Asked Harry, clearly amused by the sight of Neville
The dormitory was silent for a while, until Neville started speaking
"Just Luna, stuff you and Ginny would know about" Neville nodded towards Harry and Ginny, Seamus started laughing in the background
Uhh, right. Neville. Tell us what happened," Ron said
"I never kiss and tell!" Neville laughed as he flew up to his dorm
"God, that boy has issues" Said Fred and George in unison…
