Chapter One: The First Sino-Japanese War
China, just seconds after feeling the bite of Japan's katana, looked up at her so called 'younger brother' and whispered sadly as he walked off.
"All I wanted... Was a brother that loved me..."
Japan looked back for a few empty seconds, ready to cry himself as he saw China, who was crying, not of pain. Of sadness and depression, a very serious emotion for everyone, espically a country.
Evenutally though, Japan turned on heel and left China. All of this... Just for the control over Korea, mostly...
China realized something. Japan was a brother, yes, but Korea was too. She may just lose both brothers through this war.
Once this was brought to mind, losing both Kiku and Im Yong Soo, she started crying more. China watched through falling tears at the blood that was dripping thick and fast down her sides from her back.
Several hours later, South Korea had heard what had happened and went to China's aid quickly. He was very surprised when he saw Jiějiě still crying silently, now with the wound bandaged as best she could do it since it was on her back and with a cup of strong, hot green tea in hand.
"Jiějiě! Jiějiě!" South Korea said, blood had already leaked through the bandages China had on. China looked at him, holding sadness in her gaze. And pain, of course, she wasn't that young a blade wound isn't fun either.
In the end, South Korea got China to let him dress the wound and clean it, which made South Korea feel better, even if it was a little.
The fighting that ensued between China's and Japan's forces ended with an easy victory for Japan's more modern army.
The Treaty of Shimonoseki, made in 1895, declared Korea independent and demanded the Pescadores (now a Taiwanese archipelago) and the Liaodong pennisula of China's to Japan. China also had to pay a large indemnity. Within a week of the treaty signing, however, the diplomatic intervention of Russia, France, and Germany forced Japan to return the Liaodong peninsula to China.
China started to grow more and more snappish towards Britain and others and went drinking with Russia more than before, and even, at one point, forgot that she hadn't ate for around a day.
At this point, several years later, Japan was very worried...
I would love anyone that reads this to give a review if they would like another chapter. I'm not sure if I'll do another chapter, but I will if someone wants it.
Also, I haven't written that much fanfiction that I have put up. So if you give me some reviews on the writting, that aren't hateful, then great!
