"Come young one, listen to the tales I have to share."

Mikey looked around. He was alone, but he heard a voice. It didn't sound like anyone he knew, so who was it?

He turned around, prepared to ignore this. It was just a prank some annoying Digimon set up, nothing more.

"Come hear the tales of the DigiDestined."

Mikey looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. But there were only trees, nothing else. Surely it wasn't the rustling of the leaves.

"They faced more troubles than you." The voice dropped to a whisper. "But of course, that won't last long."

"Show yourself!" Mikey yelled out in anger. And it did. A Woodmon came out from the thicket of trees, smiling.

"Now will you listen to the tales I have in store?" he asked. Mikey nodded.

"These children all encountered the Digital World the same as you and your friends did, by fate. The challenges where hard and varied greatly. Some had to stop evil Digimon from destroying the human world. Others had to face humans who were using the Digital World as their playhouse. Another group had to save the data of the Digital World, before it was all gone.

"Here you are now, Mikey. Saving our world from evil, just like the rest of them. Differently too, might I add. Collecting the Code Crown to save our world, how wonderful. But, danger waits. Foes should not be taken lightly. Even those who look and act kind are evil underneath. Trust in your friends, both now and later. They hold the key to victory."

Woodmon took a step back from where he was. "Remember this, and you shall save our world." Mikey simply nodded.

Though he didn't know these DigiDestined Woodmon was talking about, he could feel the determination they carried. And he planned on going with them.
