The Big Moment
Disclaimer: I own nothing but what you see here. A little something I thought of earlier that is basically my thoughts of how the big reveal moment is gonna go between Iris and Barry. And I'm not even sorry for it.
"Hey Bear!" Greets Iris happily as she comes into the room he's in.
"Oh, Iris! Uhh hi!" The Speedster tries not to stare at her in a way that shows his ever lasting love for her. A plan he hopes is actually working. Unfortunately for him, she does notice and she bashfully looks away before clearing her throat.
"So umm.. There's something I wanted to talk to you about?"
"Hey, you know you can always talk to me about anything right?"
"Yeah, I know Bear, I know. Its just that..." She trailed off, unsure.
"Oh God, this is harder then I thought it would be." She started to fret seconds later.
Concerned, the Scarlet Speedster approaches her and places his hands on her shoulders and gives her a smile to show its okay. Which helps the rising reporter greatly as it provides her much needed encouragement.
"The thing is? I love you. And I don't mean in a best friend kind of way or a you're my brother kind of way. But I mean like, completely and totally in love with you. The kind of love where I honestly hope we'll be together for a really long time kind of love." She looked at him nervously after getting that off her chest, hoping he still truly felt the same way about her. And to her delight, his smile went from encouraging to a full blown ear to ear smile of pure happiness as his eyes literally twinkled in pure joy over her words.
The man she loved then crashed his lips into her's, sparking the most intensely passionate kiss she'd ever felt in her entire life. A rainbow appeared over the two as the Sun shone brightly and rousing music filled with tenderness could be heard playing. Iris West knew in that moment that he still truly and completely loved her, just as he always had for his whole life.
But then... The Editor Guy showed up with a shocked and hurt look on his face. "But Iris! I thought we were starting something!?"
The two broke apart in annoyance and Iris glared at him. "SCRAM!"
Editor Guy shrieked like a pansy and fled the scene, making Iris smirk happily while Barry just looked at his lady love in pure awe over what she had just done. Then, the two fell into a conveniently placed nearby bed and showcased their Grand Love in a moment that had been in the making for years if not centuries.
