A/N: This was my first NCIS drabble, and also my first fanfic. It was written about two years ago as a birthday gift to TaylorGibbs and I had it uploaded to gibbs-dinozzo's LJ. Now that I've an account here, I figured I'd just put it here too. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Picture Perfect
He could feel a slight cool breeze and smell the salty air of ocean waves crashing against the shore. The sun was starting to set, painting the sky with gorgeous orange color. Sounds of laughter caught his attention and he looked over to the group of people standing just a few feet away. He would have laughed with Abby and Ziva who were splashing water to a helpless-looking McGee, or at Palmer and Breena who were trying to escape from one of Ducky's endearing reminiscences. Instead, his eyes were focused on one man. Tony was wearing his favorite charcoal grey suit and a black dress shirt. His suit jacket had been discarded shortly after the rehearsal dinner, though the skinny tie still hung loosely around his neck. Light wind blew his short brown hair into a perfect spiky mess and his smiling face illuminated in the glow of twilight. It was a sight of beauty in its simplicity. As if sensing he was being watched, deep green eyes found their ways to bright blues. That happy smile was still there, shy and serene despite the dancing orbs. He felt his lips curled up to return the smile and their gazes locked. In that moment, nothing and no one else mattered to Gibbs but the man in front of him. Perhaps flowers would not be the only thing that blossom this spring.
