Reflections
It's just so hard to keep on going
To look into the mirror and have to battle
With my thoughts, with my reflection,
Wanting you, only you, and knowing
That I've long passed that point of no return.
Fondly now, I run my fingers through my hair,
Remembering your touch and knowing it
Could have been so much more perfect,
Endlessly wanting to be yours, but resigning
Myself to weary defeat for the hundredth, the
Millionth time as I look behind me at the room,
At the life I've chosen, so together, yet so
Alone.
