The Price Of Freedom

A poem in memory of Zack again. Implied Zerith. Named after the song, The Price of Freedom, because I was listening to it while writing this.

I had the urge to write this after listneing to "The Price Of Freedom" from Crisis Core. That song is really epic. I still hate the ending to Crisis Core though; I really think Zack deserve more. He did so much and how does he get repaid? Shot a bazillion times. So, here's a tribute to Zack with slight Zerith in it.

The chirping bird flying

Far into the horizon

'Cross the silver clouds

And into the intense

Shades of the vast

Blue sky

To fly, to be free

Shaking off the chains

Tying me to the earth

To feel the wind

Whispering in my ears

Laughing through my hair

To be happy, to smile

And see your face

I've only seen

In memories

Reaching out my hand

I want to grasp this sky

This freedom, those wings

A joy flying away

Like the chirping bird

Let these wings

Take me away

Far from this pain

Into the vibrant sky

As everything fades

To black
