My first story , so bear with me! First chapter is pretty short, but this is just to start it off. If there are any errors I missed, I apologize in advance! Here we go!

Something wasn't right.

He didn't know how he knew, he just did. Unfortunately, this was not the first time he felt this way. He had be having this ominous feeling for the past few months now. As if something was about to come and tilt his world off its axis. Quite frankly, he didn't need disorder in his life at the moment. He had just gotten to a place where he didn't feel like flexing his middle finger to the world and leaving it all behind.

Kami knows how long and hard it took just to make the little progress that he had.

Brown eyes stared up at the ceiling as he lost himself in his thoughts. Pain was not a stranger. It had stuck by his side until he felt as if he couldn't take it anymore. Most of his younger days had been difficult, he could actually count on one hand the amount of times anything good ever happened to him. He despised himself for feeling so weak , so vulnerable. So damn angry. He just couldn't seem to get over it.

The ONLY thing that kept him even remotely sane was his friends. He was to scared to think of what he would do to his self without them. They had been the ones to make him see life didn't always have to be bad, and have shitty endings. What made him even bother to listen to what they had to say was the fact that they didn't try to sell him a dream. They had been honest - trying to help, not mislead him. He loved them for that.

That's why he would take a bullet for each and every last one of them if it ever came down to it. To him , he owed them his life anyway.

Bbzzzzz. Bbzzzzz.

His eyes drifted over to where the sound was coming from before his hand reached towards the dresser by his bed, grabbing his 4G. He let his weight fall back on the bed before answering the phone.

"Who is this?"

A sigh was heard from the other end of the phone.

"Seriously Ichigo, are you that lazy that you cant even look at the caller I.d. on your phone?"

Ah. That's who it was.

"Sorry Rukia. I just don't get that many calls at-" He cut his eyes towards the clock perched on his dresser. "2:30 in the damn morning."

Rukia actually sounded embarrassed.'Heh. Sorry 'bout that."

He shrugged. He was up. "So what's going on that you had to call me this early?"

Honestly, he figured it was just girl gossip that Rukia couldn't wait to share til later today.

Surprisingly, her voice sounded more urgent, as if she suddenly remembered her reason for calling. Not typical Rukia behavior.

"This is going to sound crazy, but something told me to... to warn you." She was talking so low, as if she was afraid someone would hear her.

"Excuse me?" He couldn't have heard that right.

"I know, I know. I'm freaking out over here. Maybe I should just go to sleep now. I'm so sorry Ichigo, I shouldn't have called."

Ichigo sighed, this was starting to become freaky.

"It's okay Rukia. Look, how about we talk about this later on today? There's something I have to talk to you about."

"O-okay. Bye Ichigo."

Before he could even respond, she had already hung up.

He turned off his phone and decided to go to sleep. Today had already drained him, and now...

He refused to think about it.

Ichigo had the feeling that this was just the beginning.
