Huh, It's creepy, just as I was debating whether or not I should make this fic, I saw another one based on a Zim dream. Zo, I consider it an omen, or a freak coincidence that deserves recognition. Plus the 'ol insparation tank has been more or less running on empty lately. Here goes:
---
I dremt I was alllllll growed up, and I looked x-actly how I want to look when I'm an adult, except that when I normaly picture my future self, I'm wearing black jeans and a black sweater, and in my dream I was wearing black jeans, a white tank top and a green jacket. (In reality, I hate tank tops, but my dream-jacket was nice and cozy.) NE way, Miss Bitters got horribly injured or sumtin' and I was the new teacher in Zim's class. I was a sub, but I was going to be a sub for a long time, like a few months.
Now, I was aware I was in a TV show world, but I didn't find anything too wierd about that. (I was acting kinda like an SI character, only not so meddling) NE way, Miss Bitters didn't leave a lesson plan per se, but I had to choose one student, each day, for something involving the word DOOM:c) I have NO clue what it was, but it was clearly something very, very, bad, and whoever was chosen for it never came back. They didn't die or anything, just never came back. There was no risk of running out of students though, because the class had, like, 3,000 kids in it. (It was somehow, not overcrowded.)
I toyed with the idea of choosing Dib a couple of times, but then I thought of how DULL the show would be without him. So I only chose nameless, faceless students. (Not even students like Zita or The Letter M.) To be fair, I choose the ones with the lowest grades, which also kept both Zim and Dib in the clear. Despite this, I could tell Dib was SURE I was gonna choose him one day, because, although I treated him exactly the same as the other students, I gave Zim MAJOR prefferential treatment. Zim, of course, gloated about this a lot:c)
Anyhoo, all the students, (except Dib) liked me a lot, but that was only because their last teacher was Miss Bitters, (I mean, can you blame them?) so of course any of Dib's accusations that I was unfair fell on deaf ears.
Well, I had been teaching about a week or so, (I'm really not sure, my sense of time is majorly screwed up in dreams.) when Dib came to see me after class. He was telling me that he knew I was gonna make him do the doom thing. He looked really, really sad, and I suddenly got all nurturing. I asked him why I would do that, since his grades were perfect. He said he knew his rivalry with Zim was on the skool records, and he figured I'd be bound to choose him 'cuz I favored Zim so much. He was soooooo sooooo sad, and all I could think was, poor 'lil Dibby!
So I talk to him for, like, 20 minutes about how I don't hate hime just because I like Zim, and blah de blah de blah. And he cheers up and is super happy. Then, he turns to me and says something along the lines of, I bet you wouldn't like Zim so much if you knew his secret. And I play dumb and say, What secret is that? And he says, He's an aleiiiiiiiin! (yes, he says it like that.) And I lean forward and say, I know, and he looks UTTERLY shocked. Then I say, So am I. And his jaw drops and the dream ends.
