I step into the middle of the secret workout room and speak the words, "kainde amedha," to the faceless, dagger filled grin of the silver ring that adorns my right index finger. I watch for a moment as it begins to liquefy and incase the finger. Then it slowly spreads to the rest of the hand, then up the arm. As it spreads it changes from metallic silver to a metallic-organic black. I am not afraid, for this is my spell, my transformation, and as it flows slowly up my arm I begin to practice my martial arts. Enjoying the feeling of power as I am slowly transformed from a mere human into an alien creature whose very blood is a deadly acid. The metamorphosis continues throughout the workout and soon I incorporate a long, spear-tipped, whip of a tail into the routine. My head is the last to be enveloped in the spell as I finish the exercise and stand in the middle of the room once more. This time not as a human, but as an alien. A drone from a race forged from the nightmare world of an artist. Though eyeless I take a moment to admire myself. The body, abilities, and instincts of a living shadow, the mind of a human male. I am truly the most dangerous of creatures.
