This is set the morning of Jim and Junes wedding, Neil see's sam in the corridor she walks over and says 'Guv', being quite careful that the next part of their conversation won't be heard by any one else.
Neil - Yes
Sam – Are you going to the weeding reception this afternoon?
Neil – Yes, I know your going, why the curiosity?
Sam – I just wondered
Neil – Good, I've booked us a room.
She makes a quick exit down the stairs smiling to herself thinking god, Neil Manson practically to me he wants to sleep with my, his body is gorgeous.
Neil smirks to himself, he has wanted sam for so long, he wants to protect her, make sure that she is his, know knows this at the station but Neil is actually a very protective and over possessive boyfriend and he wants sam as his girlfriend, to in his opinion save her from Phil hunter and ensure that their friendship never becomes more.
Later at the wedding reception Neil sees sam sat at a table talking to Gina she looks beautiful. He thinks and he walks over and offers to buy her a drink.
When he goes to the bar to get her a drink after Gina refuses, sam and Gina talk at their table
Gina – Why is he buying you drinks?
She asked suspicious of his motives.
Sam – I don't know
She stands up to go over to Neil at the bar when Gina says something
Gina – why are you going to talk to him?
Sam – To try and figure out why he is buying me a drink?
Gina – Good Luck, Let me know if you need rescuing
Sam smiles and walks over to Neil at the bar, he hands her a glass of white wine and smiles at her
Neil – You okay?
Sam – Yeah Gina just Wanted to know why you were buying me a drink and so would I?
Neil – Not a crime for a bloke to buy a beautiful and intelligent woman a drink, especially if he fancies her.
Sam smiles abit and then says
Sam – Not exactly what I expected to find out talking directly t you, but
She is about to continue but seeing the other about to make their way over to the Neil cuts in.
Neil – The only thing that you will find out before them lot arrive it that our room number is 128.
The others arrive over and they all begin to chat. Then after a minute they are called to sit for the meal, all through the meal Neil and sam keep glancing at each other. At the end they move to the bar but Neil and sam are at opposite end of the room but when he sees her looking over. She smiled but she masked it as soon as she saw him looking at her. He saw she was looking again so he excused himself from his table and went out into the gardens and waited by the beautiful lake. Sam was suspicious so got up to follow him.
When she got there he said - 'I wondered how long it would take you to come?
Sam - who says I was here to see you.
Neil gives her a look that says - please you know you were.
Inside Sams mind she was wondering god he looks good in that tux, how could I not have got along with him for so long all of a sudden all my hate for him has turned into passion and he is will to take a risk, but will it last, we are both the same in many ways, I think it will I hope it will. How much of a risk will he take though meeting here and talking here with all our colleagues about is the only bigger risk would be for him to kiss me.
After a silence sam stops her thoughts,
Sam - so what if I was looking for you what are you going to do about it send my to my room
Neil -Our room you mean
He coolly walks over and leans down he kisses her lightly first to make sure that this is what she wants then when she responds he deepens the kiss, sam puts her arm around his neck her finger tips stroking the back of his head, he wraps his arms around her waist and they continue the passionate embrace neither wanting it to end.
