Prologue

In Sternbild City a city of justice and heroes where sinners are seized to be in bars, we find ourselves in an empty women`s locker-room where we find our heroine, Koharu Kaburagi aka. Wild Tigress in her superhero suit, ready to fight the upcoming crime that`s waiting for her to seize the night.
Her suit is like a swimsuit but different. The sides and the back are blue as well as her short gloves and her mask (that has white lines on the edges), and the front has white like her boots, while there`s two golden lines lining up in the front between the white. It shows her belly only but the suit completely covers her large chest that has a sponsor logon, "Top MaG" imprinted on it. Also she wore a golden belt that has pockets of her small weapons. Since her mask is separated from her suit, it shows her withdraw-bangs while her long chocolate hair that reaches her hips, flow to her back.
"Bonjour Heroes…" a woman`s voice spoken out from the microphone. "There`s an incident under way, sending a dispatch."
Koharu feels pumped and filled with passion that she went out the door to do her job as a hero. "Let`s do this!"
In Hero`s Bar, where the customers are about to see certain heroes fighting crime in live…
"Attention everyone, we`re here on live with an emergency report that a crime has occurred!" an announcement called out from the microphone, causing everyone to be excite calling out their favorite heroes while betting on which one will seize the victory first!
Up in the air above the city where we found a helicopter that`s showing the scene through camera while the announcer continues to speak as he watches the exciting scene. "A little while ago in the stern medaile district west silver, a vehicle was robbed and laid with the robbers along with 3,000,000 stern dollars stolen!"
He watches as he caught the stolen vehicle, and then two police cars that are chasing them. "There are patrol cars in pursuit of the criminals` vehicle!"
Although the police were trying to catch the vehicle, they were immediately taken down when one of the robbers pulled out a gun shooting them until they crashed, but luckily they survived though they let the criminals get away. "Oh no, the patrol cars are now no longer in condition to pursuit the criminals in vehicle! The culprits might just get away at this rate! We hadn't received the arrival of any heroes just yet! But this show will keeps you to date on the activity of crimes, disasters, and other events straight into your homes with our live broadcast of the superheroes that you all know and love! Based on their actions points are awarded as deserved and help us determine who the king is if heroes on this rescue entertainment program, HERO TV!"
And then the camera caught the image of a highly maneuverable red race car chasing the robbers after dodging motivating cars on the highway. The announcer excites, "Here we go! There`s a hero now!"
"It`s the bourgeois of open flame, Fire Emblem! Ladies and Gentlemen, you better get high on the ac, because it`s about to get hot!" Inside the race car, there was suited heroine with pink puckered lips, wearing a typical full-body suit of red mixed with gold possessing a burning cape. One of the robbers that shot down the patrol cars, started to shoot at her with bullets. She luckily dodged them before she placed her car in autopilot as she sat up on the top of her car. Since they have given her their first attack, now it`s her turn as she sparked out a large ball of burning fire in her hands before she shoot it towards the robbers' truck like an arrow. "O-o-o-oh, it`s come out, the fireball! And she shoots it without mercy!"
Although she was able to stop the robbers from escaping through transportation, she might have overdone it when the truck started to crash into the ground and heading towards other cars. "Oops."
Fortunately before it hits the cars, another hero has come to the scene as he caught the truck by smashing to pause it with his own hands and horns! "And here`s comes the bull coming live on the scene, Rock Bison!" He wore a green armed costume that gives him the appearance of a bull with giant drill shoulders. (A.N. even if he has the appearance originally, he looks ridiculous with those drills on his shoulders)
The announcer yelled, "The Bull Tank of the west coast has appeared, but he hasn't been on his toes this season. Maybe we`ll finally get to see him in action!"
Even though he stopped the truck with the robbers, the robbers were able to escape through the car doors and dashed away by foot. "H-huh, hey…!" he tried to go after them, but his horns are stuck on the truck.
"Seems like Rock Bison`s horns are stuck!" The announcer stated, before he then speak when he saw. "Ah, what`s this?! The culprit has hijacked a taxi!"
The robbers have stolen another car as they drove away. "The criminals are still managing to escape!"
While they tried to escape, they were encountered by another superhero as she landed out of nowhere in front of them. "From the sky is the Lighting Kung-Fu, Dragon Kid!" her appearance has two big circles that display the logos of the companies which sponsor her. (A.N. has anyone noticed that the big circles on her head made her look like Mickey Mouse)
She then electrocuted the car with electricity in her arms. "And then a finishing blow with high voltage electricity from her!" she was able to captured the robbers; however there were three and she only got two.
"But the games not over yet, one of the criminals are heading towards the monorail station, and here we have Origami Cyclone chasing him after spotted late as usual in the background!" the camera shows a hero in a highly decorative ninja-themed costume filled with logos from sponsors. The long handles of a pair of swords protrude from the back while on his back is a large shuriken, and the armor covers his entire body.
"We`ll be viewing the lone robber on the station`s—"the announcer was cut off. "Oh what`s this..? Oh no, this game has turned into a very bad situation! I just received information, and it seems as through the criminal has hijacked a monorail!" The criminal may have taken over another transportation, but he doesn't know what`s coming toward him.
Right on top of the monorail trail, we found our heroine making her entrance. "And here we have Wild Tigress coming alive and ready to crush for justice!" the announcer presented. "She`s as sexy and beautiful as always! Don't you agree, boys!?" men yelled out in excite as a reply while cheering for Tigress.
Our heroine sighed at the comment the announcer given before she received a static through her hearing aid, and then a woman`s voice. "Can you hear me, tigress?"
"Yep, loud and clear, Agnes!" she replied.
"Right, once we return from a 30 second commercial break, it`s time to get started."
"What? Commercials …?" Koharu protested. "But there`s no time for commercials at a time like this!"
"Doing it my way will only encourage the crowd, don't you know," Koharu pouted before replying. "Fine, but if the people are hurt in that monorail, I`m blaming you…!" when she saw the upcoming monorail, she then ran towards it to get close to it.
Once the commercial break is over, our heroine has finally gone into action when she crashed into the window of the moving vehicle. But when she got there, the lone criminal was gone. Even so, she pulled the lever from the control room to stop the monorail. Once she stopped she looked around to search for the robber, she then saw another window broken. She looked out the window to see him landed on a blimp. The announcer shouted, "Now it looks like the robber has taken over an airship!"
Koharu sighed. "God, some people are crazy, even if they aren`t NEXT!"
Meanwhile on top of a building, there is a new hero in the city waiting for the right time to take actions….!
"What is she doing…?" then he received a message from his transmitter. "Barnaby, how`s your suit?!"
"You're too loud," he thought before answering. "I haven`t had any problems." He wore a suit is predominantly red, white and black and has a similar design to a prototype suit.
"Okay, when I give a signal, go!"
"Roger."
Coming back to the scene…
Koharu started to activate her NEXT powers. The announcer shouted, "Oh it looks like Wild Tigress has released her hundred powers! With it, his normal physical abilities are multiplied by 100!"
"I got 5 minutes, better make this worth it!" she thought.
She uses her powers to power to jump as high as she can to land on the airship safety as possible. Until she noticed someone coming her way, or do say "flying" to her way. The announcer presents, "And arriving now the wind wizard, Sky high! He`s been overwhelmingly active this season. Mr. Hero finally has made his appearance!"
"Well look who`d show up at last, the king of heroes," Koharu smiled.
"Sorry I`m late…!" Sky high apologized. His suit is similar to the uniform worn by the Rocketeer and like the Rocketeer, he possess a jetpack which he uses to fly. His sponsor logos have appears on his chest (Upstream), and sleeves (Tamashii Nations).
Koharu laughed, "That`s alright, but I`m not going to let you take my points away!" she then ran.
"Let me give you a lift," he took her hands as he lifted her up in the air.
"Thanks!"
"Oh Sky high and Wild Tigress are now working together, and zeroing in on the criminal who is now within the airship`s control room!" The announcer shows the two on live, but now catching the next scene of the explosion. "Hmm, what…! There`s an eruption from the control room!" then a rocket launcher are now heading towards the two! "Ah what`s that, looks like the criminal has fired a rocket launcher!"
"Crap…!" Koharu saw it coming. "Sky high, lift me up now!"
"Aye ma'am," he did what she told him, so she can kick the rocket in midair before landing on the ship. The rocket luckily didn't hit any buildings or constructions, but its impact has affected the ship. "The explosion has sent the airship spiraling down!"
Two men has flew out from the control room`s windows, and now flying for their deaths until Sky high came to their rescue. He uses his wind powers to catch the people while gently landing them on safe grounds. "Sky high has put saving others' lives as his top priority as expected from our king of heroes!" Meanwhile the airship was beginning to crash down into the ground, along with the criminal. "The criminal is still riding in the airship!"
"Help me, Sky High!" the robber yelled.
Koharu heard his cry as she ran down as fast as she could before they`ll crash.
When she got to him, she holds out her hand to him. "Come on!"She grabbed him by the shoulders, so she would get him out. However the airship was heading straight towards a sea ship by a harbor. The announcer blurted out, "At this rate we`ll be swimming with sharks!"
"Damn it!" then a giant hand-shaped ice suddenly came out of the sea to grab the airship before it crashes. A male voice spoken out, "What are you doing, messing around like that?"
Koharu smiled at the sound of her certain friend, "Sorry, but at least you got here on time."
The announcer stated, "Ladies, this is what you`ve been waiting for!"
On top of an ice finger, a boy in his teens stands on it with a bow and arrow in his hands as he speaks his catchphrase, "My ice is a little bit cold, but your crime has put on hold!"
"Saving the passenger ship, it`s the "Super Idol of the world", Blue Arrow!" he wore a blue costume with a little bit of fur in it; he has white gloves and boots that has snowflake pattern on it, and a blue belt around his waist.
"Good job, Arrow!" Koharu waved at him, not noticing the blush forming on his cheeks. She grinned in proudness but it faded when the criminal shoot her in the chest. "This is, Wild Tigress was shot by the robber!"
"Hey watch the outfit, I just fixed it!" she slapped the gun in his hands, and then grabbed him by the shirt to drag him for an arrest.
"Wild Tigress is all right! She seems to be perfectly okay!" the announcer shouted.
Koharu smiled. "Come on, the more cooperative you are, the less I can handle with you."
"He, well then you won`t have to handle with me once I do this!" he brought another gun, and then shoot her in the head catching her off guard that she accidently let go of him. "G-ah, jerk..!"
She became annoyed right now, and even more annoyed when he tried to shoot Blue Arrow whom luckily was able to dodge. "Ah..! This guy never quits, does he!?"
"I got 1 minute until my hundred powers fades, I have to do this quick!" she leaped up in the midair to catch him like before, but she was caught off guard when the robber shot her in the head once again, making her lose her concentration as she falls down. She already lost her last minute of her activated powers which means she would lose her life right there on the scene. "Damn it!"
She closes her eyes not wanting to see what happens to her next.
Although she was falling for her death, someone caught her fortunately. When she opened her eyes, she saw a man in a glowing red suit (Barnaby) carrying her like a princess. They both landed on the icy grounds, so he would gently place her on it. She asked trying to fight a blush. "Who….you…?"
"You shouldn't overdo it." Koharu blushed more deeply until two bullets started to shoot at them.
The announcer questioned, "Who is that?" The man in suit reacted to this attack by speeding up to where the robber is standing an ice pillar. He then sliced the top by kicking it with his powers, misbalancing the robber before grabbing him by the collar of his jacket and then safety landed on the passenger ship. The announcer yelled, "And the mystery man captures the criminal!"
Barnaby stands up to his feet as he reveals his face from his helmet. He has green eyes that shine like emeralds; skin in color of white peaches, and his bangs was showing his natural golden hair.
"Is this the birth of a new star?!" the announcer declares before wrapping up the scene. "And now the season comes to a close with a mysterious hero!" Barnaby jumped off the ship landing on the ice to walk away.
Koharu then came to him. "Hey you, what`s your company affiliation?"
"Affiliation?" he questioned.
"A free agent and you stuck your nose in like that? What were you thinking?" she scolded.
Barnaby replied. "It`s fine, isn`t it? I was able to make an arrest, after all."
"Anyway, don't you know that you shouldn't reveal your mask in front of people!" she pointed out his exposed face.
"Huh..?"
"No matter what, a hero never reveals their identity—"she was cut off.
"So old fashioned…" Barnaby stated.
Koharu looked at him confused. "Huh?"
"You`re way behind the times, old lady," the last comment made her ticked off.
"I`m not an old lady, and plus I`m 25 years old!" she exclaimed.
"Whatever, 'old lady'" he teased, pissing her off more.
Koharu growled. "I told you I`m not!"
On a stage where the heroes, including Wild Tigress are waiting for their ratings to takes place…..
"Everyone, thank you for waiting here on live in Hero TV!" the announcer exclaimed. "And now it`s time for the announcement of this season`s results!" Then the ratings on the boards started to calculate of which heroes made the most points during this season. "Now the announcement of out MVP with a total of 12, 730 points…..it`s the king of heroes, Sky high!"
Confetti popped out to celebrate his success, and the crowd cheered for him. Sky high thanked, "Thank you, and again thank you!"
Tigress and the other heroes clapped for him congratulating him until a man in his late 60s, appeared on stage. "To continue here we have a congratulatory speech courtesy of Albert Maverick, Apollon Media`s CEO and OBC`s President!"
Maverick stepped up to a microphone. "Thank you, but before I give my speech, I would like to introduce to everyone our city`s new hero."
He pointed his hand to the person who Koharu met, Barnaby Brooks Jr. "This man will protecting the peace of Sternbild as a newcomer of heroes. He just recently received his formal approval from the department of justice, this is Barnaby Brooks Jr."
"Heh," he waved two fingers in salute as greetings, causing all the girls in the crowd to scream in joy, much to Koharu`s annoyance. (A.N. and my annoyance as well)
"Whenever his power is activated, his normal physical abilities are multiplied by 100," Koharu was astounded by this info. She never thought another hero would have the same NEXT as hers. "The time limit of 5 minutes makes it identical to that of another hero`s power, but nevertheless he is still young yet. By the way, I never thought he would do something romantic when he carried Wild Tigress in princess-style."
Everyone laughed causing Koharu blushed in deeper layers of red, hiding her face behind Bison`s arm. And he continues, "As you know, those with special abilities called "NEXT" came about 45 years ago from a mutation. There is still no explanation for how such abilities came about, as of yet. That being said, because of the work of our NEXT, this city`s peace…."
After the announcement, there was a banquet…..
Everyone, including the heroes was having good time in the banquet. They enjoyed the food, the music, and the conversation with each other. However not all the heroes are enjoying the activity?
Looking around, Rock Bison noticed Koharu wasn't here, so he took out his phone and called her. "Hey Koharu, are you really not coming to the banquet?"
"I`m not really a fan of those kinds …"
"But you should at least say hello to the higher-ups…" Bison suggested.
"I would, but I have a shop to operate, and besides you can do that for me!" the phone line went off. Bison sighed before he panicked when something or someone was touching his butt. He turned around to see Fire Emblem. "Your butt always feels so nice!"
"Let go!" Bison freak out.
Somewhere in the city, there was a flower shop….
"Thank you very much," Koharu thanked her customer. Koharu was dressed out of her superhero costume, and in her signature outfit; she wore a green high-necked sweater with elbow-length sleeves, a long white skirt that reaches her ankles, a white shawl with clover patterns, and brown flats with a skinny bow.
She owns a florist shop, which she enjoys for she loves flowers by symbols and beauty. She doesn't have any employees, though she set up a help wanted sign in the display window. She didn't really mind it, since business is well.
She waited for another customer while she looked sadly at her ring from her left hand. She kissed it before wondering, "What am I playing at?"
Back to the banquet, we found Barnaby talking in a conversation….
"The work that you did today was truly amazing, Barnaby-san," a woman commented.
Barnaby thanked, "It`s simply happened that when I helped out a fellow, senior heroine in distress, the criminal was in the same vicinity."
"Tigress does her best to protect the city, but she can be a little bit trouble, "a man spoken up. "Well, at least we have you from here on out."
"I believe so…."
In the morning, Barnaby was called in office….
"Ah, your debut was wonderful, Barnaby-kun," Alexander Lloyds, a man in desk remarked. "You performed perfectly. "
"Thank you very much," Barnaby spoken.
"When it comes to the hero division, we`re a proud lot," he explained. "From here on out, we`ll be expecting great things from you—now then Barnaby-kun, while you are here, you will be put into a partnership."
"Hah?" Barnaby confused slightly.
"It`s the company`s newest strategy. In short you will be marketed as one half of the first combo within the hero world."
"I`m sorry, but a ploy like that I do not want to be part of," Barnaby disapproves this idea.
"You are already an exclusive for Apollon Media. Such a strategy is a selling point for our sponsors. You have to go along with it," he explained. "That aside, this came directly as official words from our director, Mr. Maverick, aren`t you here by the director`s words alone? So until you have a different selling point…it`s all your sake."
"I understand then, but if I were to be in a partnership, I want to know who the other half of my team…is." He questioned.
The man smiled, "A person, or rather say a woman that owes one a favor always makes an acceptable partner."
