Author's Note: I really want Jay to adopt Manny. He cares more for him than his biological father does! I hope it happens on the show soon.
When Gloria brings the idea up, Jay doesn't hesitate. He immediately tells her yes. He loves Manny, and he's his son already. He always tells people he has three kids– Claire, Mitchell, and Manny.
"How would you like it if Jay adopted you?" Gloria asks her son a few days later.
"I'd be okay with it". And that's that. Manny runs off to play a game with his friends.
It doesn't take long after that to get the process started. Javier signs away his parental rights, and the adoption papers are signed. Manny Delgado becomes Manny Pritchett.
Everyone is happy.
