''Centipede stew?'' The Wrench asked as he smiled and held a small bowl in his home. He focused on Helen, Manny, and Pierce. He saw wide eyes and frowns on their faces. The Wrench frowned before he tilted his head to one side. ''You always eat centipede stew after I cook.'' The Wrench viewed them exchanging glances.

''About your cooking...'' Helen said while she concentrated on The Wrench. She saw the floor for a moment. Helen sat with her back against the wall. Her chin was on her knees before she held them.

''My cooking?'' The Wrench muttered under his breath.

''Centipede stew is nasty!'' Manny exclaimed as he continued to scowl.

The Wrench still frowned. ''Food is scarce in the Null Void,'' he said to Manny. His eyes narrowed. ''You won't be able to defeat D'Void on an empty stomach, Manny.''

''D'Void's Null Guardians are why we never battle him. They are his pets. They always protect him,'' Helen said to The Wrench.
She released her knees.

''Null Guardians pursue us,'' Pierce said.

''We are barely able to dodge their fangs,'' Helen muttered.

''Just keep trying to defeat D'Void. He won't conquer the Null Void again if he is in prison,'' The Wrench said.

Pierce, Helen, and Manny nodded at the same time.

The Wrench tilted his bowl before the remaining centipede stew ran down his throat. His smile returned on his face. ''Good stew!''
he exclaimed. He saw three empty bowls on the ground. His empty container was placed near them. After lifting the bowls, The Wrench filled them. He gave the bowls to Manny, Helen, and Pierce. ''You can rest after you eat. We will eventually find D'Void and defeat him.''

''Are you forgetting about the Null Guardians? They are still nasty due to D'Void controlling them. The Null Guardians won't let us near D'Void,'' Helen said. She began to tilt the bowl near her mouth. Helen shuddered after she consumed every bit of centipede stew. She glanced at Manny and Pierce.

''Centipede stew is nasty!'' Manny repeated.

''I'm curious about what D'Void eats in his citadel,'' Pierce muttered.

Helen and The Wrench shrugged together.

''We might be able to run by the Null Guardians and enter our enemy's citadel,'' The Wrench said as he frowned another time.

''Maybe D'Void is always hungry,'' Pierce said with a thoughtful expression on his face.

The Wrench took the three empty bowls before he placed them near his bowl.

Manny stretched all four arms and rested on the floor. His many eyes settled on Helen, Pierce, and The Wrench as they imitated him.
*Maybe we will defeat D'Void after a few hours. D'Void doesn't know where we live. He will never attack us in our home. We are safe from D'Void and his Null Guardians* Manny thought. He fell asleep.

Manny thought he heard footsteps in The Wrench's home. He opened his eyes and sat up. He gasped while his eyes widened.

The Wrench was gone.
