I struggled with the format for this particular story. At first I wanted to do a poll on because I was really too lazy to write all the dialogue, but I decided this was better it flowed a little bit better, but I'm happy with the way it turned out.

"Back to You"

As difficult as his unexpected departure from the crime lab was for his colleagues, Grissom knew it was the right decision. He made the arrangements very quickly, he put most of his belongings into storage; cleaning out his office and condo in a matter of days.

Then he departed for Costa Rica where he had last known Sara to be.

That was where he was at the moment as he made his way towards where he knew their makeshift research facility to be. He took the opportunity to study the life around him there were brightly colored birds and insects he had never seen before (certainly not outside a zoo anyway) he looked every bit and explore with his warm weather friendly khakis, pit helmet and large binoculars.

He was just studying a particularly interesting insect; a beetle he had only seen in his textbooks, when he saw her.

She was taking a photo of a monkey just outside the tent. At the moment the other researchers were absent, for which Grissom was grateful. As soon as he stopped walking, simply standing there looking at her Sara turned around, lowered her camera and just looked at him. Slowly a smile stretched across her face.

They didn't need to say a word everything was said in their eyes and facial expressions and it seemed as if the past few months had never existed. Then he kissed her, kissed her like he had been wanting to do for months-years even-something his position and job had never allowed.

"How…? Why-?" Sara only managed when they had pulled apart, but Grissom only put a finger to her lips, he didn't know what to say either because everything he wanted to say seemed trivial or too complicated to put into words.

"I left." He only said.

"Why?" She asked again, then she blinked and something seem to occur to her. "Oh… Are you sure Gil?"

Grissom leaned down pressing his forehead against hers.

"Absolutely. Maybe all those months all I was doing was fooling myself when the only place I should've been was here."

Sara smiled.

"I like the sound of that."

"There is one more thing." Grissom said as he pulled away slightly. Then he reached for something inside his shirt pocket sliding awkwardly to one knee.

Sara could hardly believe what she was seeing and for the second time in less than 10 minutes she was at a loss for words.

"Sara, will you do me the honor, of becoming my wife."

This time Sara didn't hesitate.

"Yes, absolutely! Yes, absolutely, I will marry you Gil." She was still smiling stupidly as he slid the ring onto her finger before taking her in his arms again, and this time when they kissed Sara knew neither of them were going anywhere and nothing was ever going to come between them again.
