Hi guys, I know this isn't an actual story. So I'm sorry if this isn't what you're looking for, I just want to know what you people think of my poetry. Please leave a review and let me know if you want me to post the other poem.

I'd like to dedicate this poem and it's 'sequel' to my friend Erin Shee, who sadly died in a car accident a few weeks ago. Erin was a budding athlete who never got to fulfil her dreams, writing is my dream so I'm going to do all I can to pursue it in her honour. RIP Erin- the world is a lot less bright without you xxx

Love's Byrne

I am a man split three ways;
My son, his mother and the woman I love
Her hair shines like the autumn sun

Like a curtain over her soft stone face
Which hides her heart of brittle fractured glass
That no-one ever gets to see- except me
Her walls crash down again and I see the cracks
The cracks where I've smashed it one time too many
I can see in her emerald eyes, she doesn't want to hurt anymore
But it seems every choice I make is the wrong one
Too many times, I've pushed her away and too many times she's pushed me back
I must have her- I need her
She begs me not to do this to her again- so I silence her with my lips
Till she succumbs and I know how she feels
I love her, she loves me
She's always there and she's all I know that is real
But I know who I must choose

And tonight a heart will break.

The original version I wrote was published on my poem-hunter page, which you can visit here if you should so wish:
